Fender Rumble Club

To all Rumble owners.

Which would you prefer:

- Rumble 500 COMBO (2x10)
- Rumble 500 Head + 115 Cab
I'd take the Rumble 500 combo and Rumble 115 cabinet for total tone mojo  Plus you have the flexibility of using the combo alone. $800

For the Rumble 500 head plus a single cabinet, I'd go with the Rumble 410 cab. $800

If I wanted to run 15's exclusively, then a stacked pair of Rumble 115's would be the order of the day. With the Rumble 500 head that would run you a cool grand.

 Rumble On!

Cool! Makes sure to report back after the rehearsal to let us know how things sounded.
Okay, this is the promised report. The headline is WOW!
It is even better than I thougt. I had played it a bit at GC and really liked the sound. I practiced with it at home, but when I got to play it with the band, it jumped to a new level. It has a very warm tube like sound. I keep the Vintage button it. The Overdrive will give you some dirt and grit and controls nicely. I also got the foot switch to control that. For the first hour I used my American J. Then I switched to a MIM P and I had a religious experience. It is like they were made for each other. It took me back to the 70s. (see atttached photo). I really believe the only way I could come close the this sound would be to get another V4B or SVT.

Just looking for some input from you rumble owners.

I'm looking at picking up the Rumble 100 for some of my smaller venue gigs. I'm wondering if some of you guys use it with the upright bass? How does the Rumble 100 handle to low end with reasonable med/high volume? Is it ported?

thanks
I just got one yesterday to use w BG and EUB. It is front ported and in the living room it seemed to work fine with both but hard to turn it up as stuff in the room is rattling, etc. I have three gigs in the next week, two quieter corporate party type of things and one outdoors at a small festival on the city market. I plan on reporting back after I've done these.

I'm hoping this will work for me, we play bluegrass so not really loud, less tends to be more. I'll say this, it is very light and small and portable and cheap. I got mine as blemished from zzsounds.com for $225 (but I do not see any blemish, I think it was a customer return as they have a very liberal return policy).

You had my '70's hair (but I ran a Peavy).

Nuts!!!!
I gotta wait till mid to late
december to get a 500 combo.
Just check with the major music chain here and they contacted fender. fender said they won,t be
shipping any out until Dec.
These things must be selling pretty hot.

The excitement continues! I just located a store about a 45 min drive from where I live. They have two 500 combos in stock. I'll be out the door like a bolt of lightening Friday morning to go grab one. Now I don't have to wait till december :)

Hello! I am pleased to join talkbass and the Rumble thread.
I have just received today my Fender Rumble 500, sounds great.
It took me a while a to find a shop with them in stock and I wanted to try it before buy it.
In the end I bought it online from gear4music. It seems they still have some in stock if you live in UK.
Can I join the club?

Ok, so I took the plunge yesterday!

I didn't get to try it with the upright yet, but I put it through it's paces at the shop and loved it! So much amp for so little!!! I'm gonna get to try it this weekend at a couple of gigs with the upright, I'll check in next week. 300$ is a bargain for so much amp.....225$ is a crazy deal!

How goofy does a rumble 500 look atop a rumble 115?

This is something thats setting off my OCD too.
I really wish there was a cabinet matching in size. I think this stack would look really nice if everything was even.
I'm even contemplating on getting a cab built. But First I still gotta get me a 500 combo before I start complaining.
I should have one in a few hrs from now. SWEET!
