I like the look of that. The blackness of the tolex makes the black in the logo pop out. But im still a little partial towards the logo that came on it originally.

Hi fellow Rumblerers! I've got a V1 Rumble 100, and am wanting to upgrade to a V3. I don't live near a guitar center or big music store to try them out so will need to order online. I can't decide between the 500 combo or the 500 head paired with the 115.
Portability is important to me, and the convenience of the combo is appealing to me, but I like the look of the head better, plus the option of future-proofing myself a little more.
Any suggestions?

Got it. Oh yes I've got it now. At long long last I've got it. Only nearly 8 weeks! 8 fudging weeks. Never again!
Anyway, took it to rehearsal last night and blew myself way. Man this thing has it all and more, I'd gotten used to the loaner V3 200 combo and I have to say it was good enough for me. But the V3 500 combo, WOW. Loud? Jesus yes.
Does all the 200 did and more. Match the Eq settings 200 to 500, same sound but the 200 maybe a little warmer, I'm not sure. But volume, more, and more is more right! Can't wait to gig this mother. I'm so happy man plus I kept turning up to piss off the guitarist ha ha. When they tell you to turn it down eh,

This is my finale decision for mine.A little pricier from the 500combo+115 but more flexible.
And here another demo of the Rumble 100.Sounds awesome to my ears!!!!

Will doing this bypass the Acoustic amps power stage and have it just act as a speaker cab or will the amp be combined with the rumble?
If so, do you have to control the volume on both amps, or will the rumble control the power of both amps.
I was thinking about getting a 15 rumble cab to go with my 500 combo. But now im thinking I might want to keep the speakers the same size because of all the conflicting talk here on TB about mixing speaker sizes. So if some extra cash comes up I might shoot for another 500 combo. Im guessing I'll get double the power. But would I be controlling the volume using both amps or just one?
What happens is this: when you take the effects send that acts as an unbalanced Hi-Z line out and you can then input to any other amp in two different ways. 1) the pre-amped signal is input into the effects return. This bypasses that amps pre-amp/front end and inserts the signal straight into the power amp and that amp's volume is controled by that amp's master volume. 2) the pre-amped signal is input into the second amp's instrument chanel input and goes through just as if you plugged in a bass only pre-amped and hot. All of the second amps controls come into play.
As for options with your Rumble 500 combo, the Rumble 115 cabinet is a proven winner with superb tone mojo and with the 500 combo is about equal in output to a 410. The Rumble 500 combo on top of a Rumble 410 cabinet is also a proven winner. For maximum volume go with a Rumble 500 head on top of a pair of Rumble 410 cabs.
I ended up playing around with it and this is what I found out...when you plug a cable from the "effect send" of the Rumble combo to the Acoustic "effect return", you still have to power the Acoustic amp on, but all the power/eq settings are controlled by the Rumble. So, basically what I did was remove the Acoustic amp from the combo housing and re-wired the 1x15 to make it a stand alone cabinet. I will say, it sounds FREAKING AMAZING!!! The 2x10 of the Rumble paired up with the 1x15 is a perfect mix to my ears. Plus, with no wiring experience...it took longer to look up how-to videos!

Cuz if it's 4, that'll give you a6ohm load. Not sure if that will fry the head.

Went to an audition tonight. Some eyebrows were raised as I brought in and set my Rumble 350 head and twin Rumble 112 Neo cabs. Once I plugged in my hot rod '76 Precision and cranked up, any skepticism was put to rest. My Fender rig aquitted itself with pure greatness.
An 8 ohm load + 4 ohm load wired in parallel = 2.67 ohms which is not acceptable. You need to do the connection through the effect send & return and power up the Acoustic. No need to worry about matching ohm loads. If the speaker in the Acoustic is 8 ohms or higher there is no problem but I doubt they use an 8 ohm speaker in that cab.
I'd say keep the Acoustic as it is & it should throw down a nice 15" bottom below that Rumble combo. You can experiment with the Fender controlling the sound. Should be more than loud & full enough.
