Fender Rumble Club

I've bought a new V3 500w Rumble head. No club # for me, thanks anyway.

Just subscribing to read future updates and to request that if anyone knows of any quirks, issues or tips for this amp to please offer them as the whole thread is a lot to read through.

I've got a lot of amps and love my main workhorses, just wanted something different than my main rehearsal amps and if I dig the Rumble enough it might get some gigs. Love the look of it, and the demos I've heard online.

Finally got mine, someof you might remember me as the guy who can't decide if i should get the 200 or the 500.
Well when i went back, the 500 is already sold, checked the other stores and it's already sold out. I actually preferred the solid low tone i got from the 200 and then i saw the "horn button" -- when i switched the horn on - it was eargasm -- I now consider the sound complete.

If i like the power/volume - i'll just use the send feature of the amp and use the amp in the bar or just have PA support :)

number please...

does anybody know if this is solid state? I also want to know if it would sound good with a rumble 4x10 cabinet.

Guys, 207 here and still loving the Rumble 500 and have used about s dozen times now including small and medium clubs and even a hotel ballroom. Great sound every time and easy to eq and get a good groove going.

Question, had this blackface metal logo and it begged me for some logo time on the amp. What do you guys think? Looks like it belongs there to me....View attachment 496139
Within a week of buying my Rumble 500 and 115 cabinet, I ordered the blackface logos. It really completes the vintage look!

Where can i get the blackface logo?
I understand putting bling on a bass. You wear it next to your body, so it's kind of like clothing.

I also understand painting or re-covering cabs. In a way, they're stage dressing, so a coloured baffle, LED lighting, or tie-dye grille cloth makes a statement.

I've taken badges off cabs, either because they looked cheap and ugly, or because I didn't want to advertise off-brand gear.

But swapping one Fender badge for another?

I'd be grateful if someone could explain this to me. I can't imagine anyone past the front row even being able to see that you'd made a change.

I'm running a 500 head with a 410 and let me tell you, my sound has never been this good.

I'm very happy with the volume and tone of this setup.

Can't go wrong.

So far, my V3 has sounded good with a modern-sounding Dingwall ABZ-5 fanned-fret monster (37" B-string!), a Squier Vintage Modified Precision V, various passive Fenders, a Fender Jazz with Duncan QP's and an Audere preamp, and a modded Ibanez ATK set up to sound roughly like an HH Stingray. Strings were mostly Nickel and SS rounds, plus a set of Chromes, and some Thomastik flats.

With the relatively neutral 4-band EQ on the new ones, they're pretty flexible. I seem to be able to dial in a wide variety of tones for just about anything.

I think of them as a warmer, slightly less hi-fi alternative to the equivalent G-K models.

Steve, it's kinda like what tattoos are for the true enthusiast- not the trendies or vacay's, or oopsies. In other words - it's not for them, it's for you.

Yes, I do use some of the built in overdrive for some very tube like grind. Works well. Don't hesitate to experiment. And then sometimes I use a lot for something closely akin to The Ox's tone on 'My Generation' or even more extreme like Jack Bruce on Frank Zappa's 'Apostrophe'. The Rumble's overdrive is better than any $100 dirt box.
 Fender Rumbles Don't Cost A Million Dollars. They Just Sound Like They Do.
