Fender Rumble Club

I just picked up two of the 500 combos, the idea being that I can take one out to smaller gigs and both to gigs with a bit more room. Great sounding amps. I've been experimenting with running the second one from a line from the effects out on the first one which works, more or less, but I think I would be better off with an active ABY to send the same signal to both inputs. Haven't gigged them yet so it will be fun to take them both out and see how they do.

Question for my fellow Rumblers Im playing classic rock with a two guitar band. Using my 500 head and 115 cab with a Fender Deluxe P bass. Do you think Im pushing the 115 too much if amp has a flat eq with gain at 12 0 clock and master at 12 0clock and bass on active with flat eq
It sounds great at rehearsals (gigs will have PA support ) nice and powerful so much my pant legs were flapping . Didn't hear speaker straining ? Should i get a Rumble or Bassman Neo 412 (its lighter than Rumble 412) or a second 115 or am I within safe confines of power on a solo 115 ??

Go ahead and get another Rumble 115, that will be your best sounding and most cost effective option. You'll be moving twice as much air and each cabinent will be spliting the full 500 watt output at 250 each. Plus you'll have a very sexy stack on stage. Also identical stacked drivers enjoy something called the 'coupling effect' that is very beneficial to your overall sound quality and general dispersion.

So i just divirginized my amp last night. Got to use in the gig last nyt. Twas a small club and i got compliments on how solid our sound was especially my bass. I made a few adjustments on my lows and had to boost d hi-mids a bit. That rumble200 made me sound like the best bassist in d gig.

I am still waiting for the Rumble 1x15 cab to show up in store so I can physically eyeball it and try it with my 500 combo.

Could have used some extra power last night,as it was the first gig where my 500 combo finally struggled for volume.
I arrived thinking we were in a marque but instead we were in a converted chicken farm warehouse that was huge !! Could hear my bass fine to begin with, but in the last set the drummer and guitard got really loud and as they were having a great night I didn't have the heart to spoil their fun by telling them to peg it back a few notches.

But that is no black mark against the Rumble by any means (even my Genz rig would have struggled).
But on a real positive note I did manage to eq the Rumble well with lots of high mids and treble, very little gain,no buttons pushed, and when standing right in front of it the tone was amazing. :)

Thanks for that gig report, pinz. All reports of the Rumble 115 cab + 500 combo have been rave reviews. I wouldn't hesitate to order one, and I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed.

Thanks for that gig report, hans9. I often wish I had a Rumble 200 combo for those small resturant & bar gigs. Perfect size & weight with plenty of power and output. Tons of Fabulous Fender Tone! :woot:

Received my Rumble 500 combo yesterday (was quite hard to find a store which had m in stock) and got to test it that same night in a small bar (100 people or so). I had the gain and master dialed at only 9 and couldn't believe how it filled the room with bass! This is one loud combo ;-) The sound is great, I love a warm, vintage bassound and this amp is perfect for this. Going to add a 115 in the future but I guess I won't be needing it anytime soon ;-) This just obliterates my Ashdown Evo iii combo... Very happy indeed!
