Fender Rumble Club

Never heard of or seen a V1 Rumble 100 2x10. They any good?

I own it from 2007 till 2009 before I get the Marshall MB450h + MBC410.
Overall tone is nothing special, just flat-clean sounding and lack bottom. Scoop button help a bit. The carzy hiss tweeter is crap so I disconnect it on first day I bought it.
l replace both driver with Eminence Beta-10A after few months .Tone become full and meaty.

Beside the V1 100/210, I also own V2 75/112 (with eminence beta 12A2) and v3 200/150.
If you don't want spend money for modified, just forget both earlier version, the best stock tone go with V3(stock china made eminence driver).

Can I join? Just bought a Rumble V3 500... had one a while back and stupidly sold it. Difficult to find such a great marriage of tone and portability, so very pleased to be a proud owner again.

I am trying to find out what a woolly (woolier) tone is. Anyone have a definition?

I have GK mb combo, so I get what he means. Warmer, thicker, punchy lower mids, with a bit of an edge to the tone. The GK has a drier, crisper tone, the Rumble more open and warmer
. Yup. Think of a bell, versus a bell wrapped in... wool.

Couldn't one adjust the EQ on the Rumble to match the GK?
That's what the contour voicing is for. Super scoop the mids=instant GK tone. Also back off both the low and high mids to about 9 o'clock. I do this a lot. Leave bass and treble at noon with zero boost/cut. By severely reducing the entire midrange you give the illusion of elevating the lows and highs. Use a lot of power/volume. That was the magic of the famous GK 400RB + 215 cab. Piece of cake.
