So I went to turn on my v2 Rumble 150 last night and had bits of the power switch pop off in my hand. Hopefully I can source a replacement for the switch. The amp module come out of the cab easy and the switch connects with for spade connectors. Is it true that Fender is no longer supplying parts?:( (My daughter says I shouldn't try to work the switch with a paper clip. Good advice?) Hope I can find an alternate source.
Happy day :D. Part arrived from "Parts is Parts"...perfect replacement (#0039287000), easy job. Hardest part was getting the old switch out of the front panel. Red light goes on and big deep noise comes out the speaker. Practice time is as it should be again. I guess this beats having to shop for a new practice amp...sort of.

Got to try out the Rumble with the band. Holy cow! Not only do I love it, but the guys do too!

Gain was maxed, volume was at about 8 o'clock. Easily kept up with everyone. The more interesting bit is what it did to the sound of the whole band. Everything was more clear.

The kick drum had definition and presence, the guitar was far more articulate, the snare cut through, vocals were actually audible and the PA didn't scream at us at all, and most importantly I could hear every note on my bass from low Bb to the highest C and even my chorus/fuzz/and the Rumbles incredible OD were audible.

I had no idea a good amp could make that big a difference to the other instruments. So glad I sold my GK MB112. I don't know how but that thing managed to ruin everyone's sound.

The only "issue" is the Rumble 500H is way too loud for home use. I guess that means I'll have to pick up a Studio 40 in the future. Oh darn.;)

When you really have to be quite have you tried practicing with headphones plugged into your 500H? My practice amp was out of commission for about a week, so I tried plugging my Sennheiser's into the earphone jack of my 500 head and plugged my mp3 player into the aux input. So good and didn't disturb anyone.:)

I have! It's part of what really pushed me towards the head and cab instead of the combo. The cab lives at the drummers house, the head comes home with me.:)

Honestly I'm just GASing for everything right now. I just had this moment a couple weeks ago where I said I needed a new amp. Suddenly I'm ordering pedals, drooling over the idea of a 5 string jazz, thinking about a good home amp, looking into recording equipment...

To be fair to my wallet though I only allow myself one big spend on music gear a year. So I'll have a while to think about it.
