Fender Rumble Club

But, of course, you know, "with great power (gifts, or blessings) comes great responsibility." .Your Studio/Stage-aspiring fellow Rumblers,, and other enquiring minds, look forward to your in-depth reviews and answers to burning questions. We know you won't hold back!
Yeah it do. I'm going to post a New Amp Day thread tomorrow. So far I am delighted.

Far! Freaking!! OUT!!! @Linnin, my man!!!!

Your friend, "Anonymous Giver of Fender Rumble Studio 40 Greatness", is very generous! I wonder if he/she is a descendant of John Beresford Tipton (adjusted for inflation)? ;)

Good on ya, Linn!

My OCD finally became critical. The crappy plastic Fender logo on my Rumble has now been replaced by a lush, vintage metal blackface amp job and very nice it looks too, even though I say so myself.

Pic One - Terrible plastic Chinese flimsiness:

Pic Two - Lovely sturdy metal USA goodness:

Makes the classic vintage vibe even more so, IMHO. Did I do the right thing, Rumblers..?
I made this exact change on my 500C, 210 cab and 115 cab as soon as I got them. Here is my 500C and cab with my ‘68 Dual Showman head. 500C modded to work as combo or cab.

Oooo,. @Bobb Nagel, just how is your 500C so modded?

Did you do something like The eric_B Mod with new connections requiring a cable for combo use?

Yes G-Dog. That exact mod. I use a little 5” patch cable. I installed the new panel vertically and labeled each input so as to avoid a screw up. I used 1/4 inch rather than Speakon.

Howdy,
Plugged into a Rumble 200 at the shop testing a Hofner Bass. Not looking to buy an Amp, but the sound coming out of that thing was incredible. And talk about light weight....... Ever since, have been looking to justify making a purchase.
Justification: not sending yer chiropractor's kid to college.:smug:

The way ive look at it and justified with the wife is the fact that music is pretty much my only hobby and consequently one of the few things im good at:) Most of my friends and neighbors are into either hunting or golf, they take long hunting trips, golf weekends, etc, spend hundreds if not thousands and usually come back with nothing. Im gone for 6 hrs or so on a Friday night and come back with a few bills:) Sooo, its fairly easy to justify....:)

Review: Fender Rumble Studio 40 Is Lightening In A Box!

For those of you that do not know, the new Fender Rumble Studio 40 and its big brother the Stage 800 have taken the bass amp world by storm. Winner of Bass Gear Magazine's 'Best of Show' award at Winter NAMM 2018. 2018 Winter NAMM Show Awards | Bass Gear Magazine Publisher Tom Bowlus (@tombowlus) states "...let me just say that the new Studio 40 and Stage 800 impressed the heck out of us. I’m willing to throw out the phrase “game changer.” Seriously, folks, these new Rumbles are great!"
Fender calls them "Lightning In A Box" Invalid Link Removed You can find all the specs here and also download an owner's manual in any of ten languages.

Quick overview:
2 studio pre-amps = if you want totally clean super transparent and ultra flat Hi-Fi tone, here it is. The complete package. 13 classic iconic amps, and who doesn't want to own fifteen or twenty thousand dollars worth of the very best bass amplifiers in history? Do you miss the mighty SWR Redhead? It's in there in all its glory! Yes, that good!

23 speaker cabinets to choose from. The new 10" Fender Special Design drivers are exceedingly Hi-Fi in order to duplicate the tone and other sound quality characteristics of each cabinet. They are so good as to truly amaze the high $$$ speaker connoisseurs.

40 studio quality effects. They are here big time! The bass synths and octobot are just amazing and thick. Just look in the owner's manual for yourself. And hey, who doesn't want four thousand dollars worth of great effects, eh?

All the controls are programmable, so they do different things according to the amp model chosen. You get that amp's tone stack. Plus there are additional EQ options available to include two 7 band graphics and a semi-parametric. So tons of tone sculpting ability.

The presets are pretty cool with many of them being totally usable as is. Others are more sonic sketchpads to demonstrate some of the amps strengths and capabilities. You will have to try them on for yourself and tweak & tailor to your desires for proper fitment. Plus build your own personal presets to include the ability to create your personal setlist of tones/sounds for live work. This is something I am going to have to dive into head first.

I popped the Studio 40 on top of my Rumble 200 combo to use as a pre-amp. Boy Howdy let me tell you what! Massively HUGE! If you own a class D amp of any brand, just do this and stand back.

So yes, just do this. You'll be glad you did.

So, let's see, w/ hunting you or your hunting companions might"inadvertantly"shoot each other;w/ golf, you might get frustrated and throw the whole bag in a water hazard, but I've never seen anyone throw their bass in a lake. Just sayin'.

A visit to a chiropractor can cost up to $200. That's just one session. A new Rumble 200 is $449. That is justification enough.

Well, with the way I play bass, sometimes its a tough choice between me or the bass that gets the lake :help:
