Fender Rumble Club

Hey, thanks for the reply. I have much to learn as well. I have set up a playlist for each of my basses with the sounds that I like for each. That makes it a lot easier to dial up what is needed. I do like the app on my phone. It is kind of fun to play with. It might be cool to have a new thread for studio and stage users to share thoughts and maybe even some patches that we have created.
You are far more advanced than I am. I have no 'apps' on my phone and am clueless as to how to accomplish such.

Today was supposed to be NCD but the store messed up and sent me a Rumble 15 instead of 40. Keep your eyes peeled for tomorrow!

Just send me a 45

You got it. But be careful, it's almost as loud as a Rumble 500.

Hey, there! Hold on! I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Don't fly off the handle. The Rumble 15 is nothing to sneeze at, but I'm sure they'll exchange it.

What's that? Oh! I misunderstood?! Ok. Well, then . . . nevermind.

:smug:

Ha! The shop handled my issue like a pro though. They've sent a replacement amp which will arrive tomorrow and the delivery guy will take the first amp back.

As some folk mentioned here, I plan to use it as a modest stage monitor and utilize the XLR out for FOH :hyper:

I briefly considered the newer Studio 40 amp but the V3 is less weight to carry and less money to dish out. That's a no-brainer if you don't care about the built in sims/effects.

Only 1 more lb. for the Studio over the regular 40. 19 vs 18 lb.s. Bet you couldn't feel it.

Anyway, you got today and tonight to play with the 15. Have fun! Post pics!!

My Rumble is still doubling as my guitar amp & I am quite happy with the sound. I get reminded of how great it sounds once in awhile.
Last weekend I saw a Laney in the pawn shop & thought, "That's what Tony Iommi plays!"

Rushed home to get my LTD Deluxe with the S.D. pickups & straight back to test it out.
It sounded horrific in comparison to my Rumble, so it's still there. I was enamored with a Orange CR60 for a bit, but when I got home I realized fooling with the EQ & Bright button could get me those same sounds as the Orange.

Guess what!

It's loud. I set everything at 12 o'clock and sat across the living room. The volume was uncomfortable to play, but the sound was lovely.

It's roughly the size of its youngest sibling's package.

And apparently I got a tuner as a compensation! How nice. The display looks identical to the Ernie Ball Flextune I bought a few weeks ago.

Hey guys- Apologies in advance-Asking for a bit of direction here. I’m pretty sure this has been discussed in this thread, but I couldn’t find it. And 1338 pages was a lot to dig through to try to find what I’m lookin for! So I’m coming to you Rumbler guys and gals.

I’m really interested in a Rumble combo to cover rehearsals and small gigs. I’ve tried several different brands and haven’t been thrilled so far. A couple weeks ago I subbed in on a blues gig and the back line amp was a Rumble 210 combo- I wasn’t thrilled when I saw it and thought I’d struggle to hear myself on this show- drums, 3 guitar players, keys, sax and drums- bass of course. This thing rocked and I left the gig wanting one. The tone was wonderful and plenty of volume. I went to my local music store that carries these and was just as impressed- they did not have the 115 combo to compare.

So if anyone could offer an opinion or direct me where this may have been discussed- Thinking my options are the 200 watt 115 combo or the 500 watt 210 combo. The 112 combo would be nice, but small enough I’d question if it would keep up volume wise. Thanks for any info.

I have the R200c which I'm happy with. If the R100 had ext. spkr. capability, I woulda gone with it. Most of the places we play, either one is plenty. In fact, I often use my R 40 for space considerations. I Did add a R112 cab(no longer made)but only use it on a couple of venues.

Welcome @bassjam! The Rumble 500 2x10 combo is the best selling bass amp in the world and has been for three years running. I've been told it is now the best selling bass combo in history. Never a bad choice.
I happen to like the Rumble 200 combo best because I like the 15" woofer better. Pre-amps are identical and both power sections are ultra-transparent D class ICE Power. The Rumble 100 is best for moderate jams with friends; folk/Americana, or a jazz trio/quartette. If I were gigging regularly in larger venues and $$$ were not an issue: Super Bassman on top of a pair of Bassman 115 Neos.

Just got the 200 great great Tone They are not making the 112 extension cabinet anymore so you want to get the 115 combo.

I played a rumble for the first time this weekend at a GC. I couldn't have been more impressed. The tone was amazing, and I probably sat there for 45 minutes playing different basses, getting great results with each. If I had some extra $$ laying around I would probably have picked one up.

Edit: The model I played through was the Studio 40
I LOVE my Studio 40! :woot: :bassist: You need to buy one drool
subliminal message ... buy Studio 40 ... buy Studio 40 ... buy Studio 40 ... :smug:

So 3 votes for the 115- interesting. I’m usually not a big fan of 115’s, but one of my all time favorite cabs is the Genz Benz Uber 115- still have one and love it. So for this venture, I have big rig stuff covered, this is really something I want for those not so fun load in’s and rehearsals. But if I like it as much as I did on the blues gig, I’d see myself using it for more. I won’t need an extension cab- if I do a bigger gig, I have plenty of stuff for that.

I am curious what it is you all liked about the 200 over the 500?? And do you guys think the 200 could handle a decent size gig- we normally have PA support.
