Fender Rumble Club

Hello Rumblers!
Greetings @Bass Man Dan! :woot:
I already use a Zoom B1on pedal, so the built in effects on the 800 might be nice but not really needed.
The new Stage & Studio Rumbles make your ZOOM sound like petrified dinodookie. I sold my ZOOM B3 right after I received the gift of a Rumble Studio 40. Leaps & Bounds Better.
I kind of like the idea of the 500 with the Eminence speakers.
The Stage 800 has the same Eminence drivers.
I'm sure I don't really need the extra watts of the 800.
Don't over think. You need 'em. ;)

Hello Rumblers! I'm considering a Rumble 500 combo or a Stage 800 and was wondering if the stage 800 is worth the extra money (a little over $200)? I'm not sure I need the 800. I currently gig with an mb115. I like it fine, but I am looking for something that could power my SWR 1x15 cab if we play a bigger room or outdoor area. I already use a Zoom B1on pedal, so the built in effects on the 800 might be nice but not really needed. I play 90s rock with a little classic rock mixed in. I kind of like the idea of the 500 with the Eminence speakers. And I'm sure I don't really need the extra watts of the 800. In fact, my SWR cab is rated at 250. So, with all of that said, anybody think it's worth it for me to get the 800 over the 500?

Value, like beauty, is in the eye, ear, nose or throat of the beholder, listener, smeller or taster. Of course the Stage 800 is worth the extra cost to those here who have bought it. At least, I haven't seen anyone say they're trading it in for a 500, or anything else. There are even some giving up their Zooms for the 800. But, your own ears are still the final authority. Check it out.

Oh, and BTW, enquiring minds wonder about the"bass-a-reeno"?

Thanks for all of the replies, everyone. And the bass-a-reeno is explained in detail here:
If you've been eyeballing the p bass kit on eBay...

But the condensed story is told with this photo of the headstock on my cheap kit bass build

I don't believe speaker size, alone, causes mud.
^^^Correctamundo!^^^ Cheapness causes mud, because muddy sound is cheap and easy to accomplish. Sometimes cheapness is very expensive. Ex: ampeg SVT w/810 'fridge'. Horrendous rubbery blubbery bottom with low mids as muddy as the mighty Mississippi. That's the ampeg sound. Very expensive and as cheap as it gets.

I would say go with the 800. I had a regular rumble (15) before but the Stage easily beats it in tone shaping possibilities. You can change your amp to sound like anyone you want, and get pretty close to some tones not easily achieved with other gear. I’ve had mine for a couple days now and I’m still getting amazed at how much I can actually change on my amp. I can go to a preset, change the basic EQ, but also can change the cab setting, add effects either pre or post and have full control of those too! There are also Bass and Wide EQ pedals inside the amp which you can use to shape your tone even more! Aside from the tone shaping, it’s still very light and has more watts than the 500 (you’ll find a use for them eventually). Alsooo it has a Jaco preset!!!!

That borders on unbelievable!
You Gotta Believe! Believe that the degreed engineers with years of hands on experience and mentored by yet more intelligent engineers that invented the classic bass amps upon which legendry top 10 hits were written and recorded. Believe that you too deserve such a bass amp. Then Party upon it's arrival.

Okay, I’ve got my bass (a Fender of course) and am finishing up perfecting it.
Now I’m turning my attention to building a band suitable rig.
Here’s where I just need some reassurance:
This thread has made a believer of me as far as “there’s no such thing as under powering a cab.”
So my quick question is: would I be okay running two of the Rumble 210 cabs, two Rumble 115 cabs or one of each off of a Rumble 200 head?
That’s it. I’m pretty sure you’re going to say/type “yes,” I just need to hear/read it.

Absolutely! I'd run a pair of Rumble 115s with a Fender Rumble 200 head. Push it hard and run it on the rails for perfect tone.

Thanks, Linnin.
A plan is brewing. I’m thinking all interchangeable Rumble parts to allow me different combinations and backups. It’ll take me a while to put it all together as an idea and longer to execute, but things are moving forward!
Just finishing up this guy first (Fender AmPro PV):

...then on to the rig!
I’ll keep y’all posted.
Thank you again!

I have no idea what strings I have on any of my basses, but run a Rumble 200 combo with a rumble 115 cabinet thus giving me 2-115 cabinets. When I plug in my 1983 American P bass special, it sounds as perfect as can be to my 55 year old ears. Absolutely heaven in a speaker. Perfect combination.
