Absolutely. I hasten to add that it’s not the 12" driver per se that gives it its identity problem, but the size of the driver in relation to Fender’s other offerings. It doesn’t mesh with either the 500c or the 200c, and is a little on the small side to be used singly for most that want to go with a Rumble head/cab combination. It would have done better as an extension cab for the 100 if that had been an option, or expanded to a straight 212 cab.

Very easy. First the 12 is far from an orphan. Appearing first in the V1 Rumble 60; then the Rumble 75, and now the Rumble 100. The Rumble 200 combo replaced the wildly popular Rumble 150 1x15 combo. The Rumble 500 replaced the Rumble 350 2x10 combo.

No doubt, but I think there may be more to it than that. For one thing, while I’ve seen every other Rumble unit on shop floors, I’ve never seen a 112 in the wild. Never.

You can lead a bass player to equipment, but you can't make him buy.

"They say" that the best way to find out is to ask. But for subjective opinions, the best way to find out is to judge for yourself!

Yes! The 800 can certainly handle large wedding gigs, as the 500 also can, without any struggle. For many players the 200 or even the 100 is sufficient.

Comparison of modeling effects versus pedals is so totally subjective! Every ear could give a different opinion. But, sure, you can use pedals with the 800. It's even got stereo FX Send & Return to plug 'em into!

Again, "they say" the only stupid question is the one not asked. IDK for sure about ground lift on the XLR outs, but probably so. Yes, the 800 has a switched horn, and the same great speakers as the 500.

Yep, Fender offered the V3 combos with 1-15 (200) or 2-10 (500) but also offered the 200 and 500 Heads to mix and match with all the cabinets they offered, including the 1-12. The market decided. It may have been different if one of the V3 combos offered 12" drivers, IMHO.

I didn’t actually say there weren’t any, but that I’d never seen them. Hopefully, I might be forgiven for not having seen a floor model in a music store halfway across the globe. ;)

I was just trying to point out that it’s more difficult to buy something you haven’t seen and don’t know about. If dealers don’t order something in, they don’t sell it.

Now, I have no way of knowing if my notion was correct or not, but between the 112’s identity problems (its excellence notwithstanding), the possibility of too few units being on display in stores, AND the public’s disinclination to buy, the death of the 112 may have been unavoidable.
