Fender Rumble Club

Gentlemen, it's Christmas...think of the children.

Can't both Fender and Ampeg fans get along for one day, especially this one coming up?

Put away your power cords for just one night and demonstrate some good will towards men.

Personally, I like both brands, but then I also own the fifty-buck Ashdown TourBus 15 and it sounds like a$$.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!

I was just making a light-hearted joke. Looks like someone is a little sensitive!
Ya man, I dig. Irony is sometimes lost in the printed word.

Sorry...pissed because wife has to work all night tonight and tomorrow, and my son went to a party with his dopey friends. He better not be drinking, either. I told him, "Hey, you're only 6. I better not have to come bail you out of jail!"

I need to add that also PF300 and all of old BA-series Ampegs are very unreliable. I've had three of them and they are failed in few weeks. I find it easy to believe the new ones are just the old ones in new package and as unreliable. No such problems with Rumbles.

There is no PF300, first of all. Second, I have a PF350, BA110, and BA108 that I got new in 2011, and all are still working fine. I know plenty of others who have had zero problems with theirs as well. A little sad that the only way you guys seem to be able to promote Rumbles is by grossly exaggerating breakdown claims about Ampeg. So you're telling me Rumbles never break down? BWAHAHA!!! Plenty of evidence to the contrary, boys.

Myth?

Merry Christmas!

In all fairness,
This is the rumble club, so most people are here, because they love their rumbles.
So yeah, like every club in this forum, it's a love fest.
And there is really very little discussion of other brands, let alone bashing.

And again in all fairness, Jimmy, if I asked what pickup and amp I should buy, you'd say EMG Geezers just as quick as Linnen would say Rumble.
He doesn't "bash" Ampeg, just states the frequently heard reliability issues. Whether they are exaggerated or not, I also heard them as I was researching amps, and ended up with the rumble before I found this club. So thar kinda info is already out there.

Not any more. My guy at EMG left the company a few months ago and I never heard from the new guy, so I take that to mean I no longer have an EMG deal. And just the other day I recommended to a guy that he would be most happy with a DiMarzio Model P.

Anyway, have fun with your love fest in here...hope all of you who got Rumbles enjoy them! They're fine little amps...not my thing but not everything has to be, either. Just remember that Fender has done as much screwing things up as any other MI company out there, so glass houses.

State of the Fender Rumble Club

2014 has been a year of great strides for our club, and we can take great pride in ourselves. Our growth has been nothing short of stellar! We have gone from 14 pages and 84 members at the beginning of this year, and have absolutely exploded to over 150 pages along with over 3,000 posts, and most importantly 303 members! We are the fastest growing and most active club on TalkBass, and it’s all your fault!

Fender’s new version 3 Rumbles have taken the bass amplification world by storm. They are flying off the shelves and vendors can’t keep them in stock as they are selling faster than Fender can make them. Rumble sales together with sales of Fender’s highly acclaimed Bassman line are the world wide market leaders in bass amplification. Make no mistake, Fender is number 1! :woot:

:DHave A Happy & Prosperous New Year:D

And

:cool:Rumble On!

Just joined this thread 2 days ago cuz I like my new Rumble but so far I'm not sure it's a thread worth participating/watching. :(

Welcome BigDBass! Yeah, I'd probably see it the same way if I'd just come onto the scene. Actually it's a really nice group of "Rumblers" who appreciate a great value when they play through it.

Our fearless leader tends to be a bit overzealous, but his heart is in the right place. Stick around and give it a chance. With the holidays wrapping up I'm sure clearer minds will prevail.

What Rumble are you using?

I just got a v3 500 head. I tried my buddy's a few nights prior and the purchase for the price seemed a complete no brainer. Thanks, hope things settle down before I click unwatch!

I just had my stepdad play through my new Rumble 100. He plays... a competing model from a company which we've piled on enough recently... model name: B115-T.

Anyway, he's totally jelly of the Rumble, both the tone and the weight! I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting the same in the near future (or the 200. He's always got to one-up me in gear, since I can play circles around him :p)

Just bought a V3 Rumble 500 head as a backup for my Bassman 100T.. Should have it next week. I love TB classifieds! That said, I was sold watching (listening) to video clips. Very cool to al options such as the many gain/drive settings. Message to JimmyM: We have had our differences of opinion but I respect your experience. I am still considering the EMG Geezer for one of my Precisions based on your recommendation. I assume you would still enthusiastically recommend the pickup despite change to your endorsee status ? I would like to think so. Marc
