And this on Happy Fender Friday? Oh well, it is happy to me...

I bought mine as soon as the v3 Rumbles shipped. I was trying to approximate my high school kit from 1968. I'd bought a used '63 J bass and a used Bassman amp (and a Farfissa Mini (for 96 Tears, et. al)). I bought a MIM '63 repro (forgot I had to bust the neck off to adjust the truss rod; grrrrr) and a 200 combo (started life at $399). It's never given me any trouble. As good as it is, $499 is still a very competitive price.Just buy a brand new Fender Rumble 200 1x15 combo! It'll do you proud every time![]()
I think my 200c was 499 and the 115 Rumble extension cab was 399.I bought mine as soon as the v3 Rumbles shipped. I was trying to approximate my high school kit from 1968. If memory serves
If you like how it sound, I would recommend pulling the speaker and/or amp module and check for an original or 8 ohm speaker. If it is, I'd do only what's needed to remove the extension jack on the back and seal the holes with whatever I had on hand.hmmm.. thanks for all the info - I knew I was in the right place - now I've just got to decide if I want to open it up and mess with it (despite my lack of knowledge of music equipment I've actually got a relatively solid understanding of electronics and wiring) OR just take it back... I got a good deal on it but nothing I could not find again
Oh my! Can’t wait to dig into mine. Cool P by the way. What’s up with the 3 roller knobs and 1 pickup? Also the toggle. Ah, P bass special. What makes it “special”, technically speaking? This is my Rumble 500 head and Rumble 410 cab. Nice sound but it seems to be missing a bit of the lows I enjoy with my 200c. Still very versatile. Also my 1982 P bass special.View attachment 3164674
Made one year. 1982. Gold hardware. Active electronics. Blonde with matching blonde machine head. Rarest color combo they made then. In 82 and 83 Fender made a Strat that matched it. The serial number is in the "custom, special, or limited" edition book. Sounds better in passive mode.Oh my! Can’t wait to dig into mine. Cool P by the way.
