Fender Rumble Club

I have a Rumble 410 sitting on top of a Neo 410 The material thickness is the same on both. The Neo is 2" deeper, 3" wider, and a 1/2" shorter than the Rumble. That works out to about almost a 4 sq ft difference in material.

Denser material, too, I suspect. I have a Rumble 2x10 that is 39 lbs. I have a neo 1x15 that weighs in at close to 50.

About a million posts ago someone asked about using a v3 Rumble head or combo with Eden cabs. I was very interested in that since I have 2 awesome Eden cabs. I don't think there was ever a reply, so here's mine.

Since that time I bought a very-lightly-used 200c for half price. It weighs less (IMO) that my v2 Rumble 30 which is my usual church rig (no PA support). I love the 200c alone, and have done several smaller gigs and played at church with it.

(Slight post derailment: I bought a Rumble 200c cover from Sweetwater - what a nice surprise. Fits great, looks great, nice embroidered logo, not a vinyl 'thing' - feels somewhat cloth-like. No padding, but I highly recommend it for ~$20)

Last month I played a first gig with my relatively loud rock band at a club at Salisbury Beach MA, and wanted to travel light (minimum of setup and weight). I used my 200c with my Eden D210XLT8, the first time I had ever gigged that setup. Granted we had a sound guy and I was DI'd through the house. But my rig alone was AWESOME. I easily could have done fine w/o any PA support, and my stage sound and volume was perfect. Never had the Master above 10 o'clock. I have found, as others have, that even though I LOVE the low end (I am not a fan of Jaco-esque tone - I like BASS) I have to keep the 200c Bass tone below 12 noon.

I clearly felt and heard that the Eden cab's output surpassed the output of the combo's 15" (that doesn't make sense to me electronically, as each are 8 ohms) but WOW was the sound terrific. I also have a D201XLS4 (much deeper sound than the XLT) that I cannot use with the 200c combo, but after this experience I have no worries about the XLT. I was planning on using my Mesa 2000 rig with both cabs when we return there next month, but now I am planning on continuing to use the 200C + D210XLT.

I have been lusting after a D800 or D800+ Mesa Subway head to use with both cabs, but this experience has me delaying even further.

Like you, I LIKE BASS. But, also like you, I've found I need to run 'bass' around 10-11, both mids 2-ish and treble 11. I ran my 200c w/ my R112 cab Saturday night and while it sounded great, it was overkill-with master at 10 +/-. We almost never have FOH due to the size of the rooms we play. We'll occasionally run everything through the PA, but it's our PA, our amp and drum mics, and us(OK, me)mixing. The only place we used to do that had us run into the house PA to feed the smoker's bar(separate from the main room). Being a GOF, I'm going strictly for ease of load in/out so the R200c is poifect.:thumbsup:

I use mine with a boss OD and a ELH HOLY GRAIL REVERB then I crank the Rumble’s OD up on the Rumble! Add my Les Paul and stir to WFO! Awesome!

On a 40 there's no need to, but on a 100 you'd need to dial out some bass & maybe low-mids as well.
That 12" in the 100 had extra bass, but also sacrifices some high end & punchiness.

Recently I thought I'd upgrade to a 100, since I no longer play guitar, but the clarity was just missing, in comparison to the 40.

For months I sat around here online shopping for 2x10" or 2x8" to pair up with a tube amp or hybrid amp, & back to it after returning the Rumble 100.

a drill
a small ruler

Drill a 1/4" hole in the side of your cab. User the ruler to measure the thickness of the plywood.
Fill hole with Elmer's glue. cover with duct tape. :woot:

...or you could pull one of the handles off and measure there. I'm not gonna bother, I'm confident they are 3/4.
