My memory about the 200 is foggy, because I never needed that much power. I did compare them all at one point & if I was going big & wanted to play guitar also, I'd go for the 500 combo or a 200 head with a 2x10" cabinet.

I convinced a guitar & bass player to buy a 200 head & he is absolutely loving it!

Are you referring to me or someone else? :-P

Last night I used my Rumble 500 V3 head with other humans for the first time. I'm subbing in a band, and it was my first rehearsal with them.
After the first song, the bandleader said, "THAT'S THE SOUND WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!"
(More details: I was using a GK Neo112II cab and a 2002 MIM Fender Jazz Bass strung with medium gauge Chromes.)
The funny thing is that I was in a small room with two acoustic guitarists who sounded huge when strumming full out, and I could've used a little LESS gooey, pseudo-tubey goodness to be able to hear myself! Next time, I'll bring my old GK 400RB with me, I'll be able to hear myself, and they'll say, "Oh, man. Where's your other amp?"

The saga never ends, does it? ;)

OMG... I GOT ONE!!! I GOT A 112 CAB!!! OMG OMG OMG....

Yes.. color me excited like a little girl with a spanking new pony! (okay, maybe we don't do little girls and spanking ponies metaphors in the the future.) But hey... I'm excited. I actually just found... and immediately ordered a Fender Rumble 112 v3 cab from Guitar Center's Used 'lot'... coming from somewhere near Minneapolis Minnesota. And it's supposedly in EXCELLENT condition, which they describe as, "...shows little to no signs of use. Free from blemishes, scratches, and user wear." Having it delivered to my 'local' store (about 30 miles away) so I can pick it up without having to worry about missing a delivery while I'm at work. (Isn't it funny how quickly we get used to 'Prime' guaranteed delivery dates?) It should arrive some time middle of next week. Have I mentioned that I'M EXCITED!!

Some of you may remember me from just about this time last year, when I stepped in for the first time with some question about everyone's preferences regarding heads and cab sizes, mixing drivers and so forth. I got a lot of good replies with lots of useful information, and was just about ready to pull the trigger then... but life intruded... like it does... and the whole Rumble minor/Mega-Stack project got put on hold. Well, long story short (TOO LATE!)... I'm back and ready to go again! It's been a great summer, overtime wise, and I'm actually in a much better position to purchase than I was last year. But wait... what's this?? Fender DISCONTINUED the bottom half of my dream stack in the meantime?!? How dare they!!!

But hey, I get it. Despite the love displayed here, the sales weren't there and they had to trim the line, just like any smart manufacturer will do. Of course I learned about all of this in the last few weeks as I've been trying to catch up on reading this forum from where I left off. So I was just about ready to make some compromises and purchase a stack that, while would have been amazing regardless... would also have been waayyy overkill for my needs. But I have been looking for that 'last 112' remaining, just in case... just in case. And so yes, I'm sure you can understand my enthusiasm tonight upon finding that cab. Now I can comfortably order the 200 Head and a 210 cab to top the 112. Thus will be born... my minor/Mega Rumble Stack!

Alas, I will say forgive me if I've interrupted any ongoing discussions and/or flame wars. (Remember all that business about real watts vs. calibration watts vs whatever-that-one-guy-was-yammering-on-about watts? Jeez... what a tedious few dozen pages that was!) But I just wanted to chime in because, well, I'm sure you all understand why completely. Can't wait till next week when everything arrives. Once it's all set up, of course I'll post some pics. Looking forward to getting a number. Are we still doing numbers?!?

C'ya! Phat...

I did a rehearsal for a New Years gig with a 17 piece big band last night. Strong(read 'loud')horn men, guitar, piano and dynamic drummer. Used my R 40! Yeah, I was pushing it a little, but it hung in there. I'll use the R200c for the gig. Lotta fun but some tough charts. Used my '67 TBird, BTW, which really 'sang'.:)

Welcome Rumbler #979! Looking forward to the pics. We do assign Fender Rumble Club membership numbers, but if you want to do a number, that's your business. Rumble on !

Hello! I'm 34 and just got the music fever again. I used to play guitar and bass every day from the ages of 16-22 but just kind of fell away from it. Over the last three months I've secured a used 500c and a used 210. I just treated myself to a brand new Fender Deluxe PJ MIM and I'm amazed at the tones I'm cranking out. Thanks for all the info here, it's helped me tremendously. 20181018_211858.jpg

Welcome Rumbler #980! That's a nice looking rig, but I'm concerned about it being right on top of the furnace register. Rumble on!

Congrats! I'd say (as a happy 500H and 210 owner) that the 200H + 210 + 112 would have been my ideal stack as well. As you know it's going to be a killer rig and I can totally understand the excitement. When I decided on a 500H + 210 I called my local store and had them hold one of each for a couple days just so life couldn't get in the way!:roflmao:

Rumble on! We'll need pics and impressions once you've spent some time with it of course.:bassist:

Sometimes I think up nonsense just for the entertainment value. It just occurred to me that if you hooked up 2000 500 combos and 2000 2x10 cabs, you would be pushing 1 megawatt.
Would that be fun or what?
Would me homeowners insurance cover the lawsuits?

Just make sure you stand behind the thing when you let it rip.
