Fender Rumble Club

Boom... done. Just (well, about an hour ago) pulled the trigger on the 200 head, a 2x10 cab, and a footswitch. Also ordered the Blackface knobs directly from Fender. (Sadly, the vintage logos were out of stock, but... eventually.) The 1X12 is comfortably on its way to my local GC... and everything arrives on Thursday.

I... can't... wait...
Youll love it..I started with the 500 head and a 2x10, later added a second 2x10. Its a great classic sound and look. With a single 210, if your on small stages or right in front of it, this stand is perfect. It folds up small like a guitar stand and holds the 210 cab at the perfect angle.

Thought I already had a number, haha.

Im sure the 2x100 would be a great rig. Simple and cheap. (Since i have one already)

But i see flexibility in the 200. 1x15 is appealing. One piece 140w amp is appealing. Cab options. Chain 200+100 for a super-rumble...
I always search the list before I assign numbers. So you would only have had a number if you changed your alias.
If you already have a 2x10 and it is 8 ohms, then a 200 combo would be the way to go. I know some superstitious people think demons will come up from hell to haunt you if you mix speaker sizes, but from my personal experience, a 2x10 + 1x15 sounds really great.

I looked through a lot of links and info from the wiki (awesome work on that btw) and found tons of answers to questions there - but I've still got one question... if I'm wanting to use my R40v3 as a DI box, but not create any stage sound (using IEMs) is there a simple way to make it work?

I'm thinking turning gain and/or master down will kill the XLR signal, right?

also, I'm thinking of maybe just plugging in headphones, but I fear that may also automatically kill the XLR out?

I can test it next weekend, but am hoping to know beforehand so I don't have to test ;)
Interesting question and I don't know the answer. But, I would guess that it does not. Assuming it wouldn't, you wouldn't even need to carry around headphones. Any 1/8" plug will do. When you put any plug into the jack, it defeats at least the speaker. When you find out, let us know. Also, be sure to let @G-Dog know so he can add the info to the wiki pages.

Hello All!

I've actually been a rumbler for a while with my stage 800 as a quasi-backup amp to my GK MB fusion 550 head. But, I've recently changed my rig to a set of V3 rumble 210's to use with either my GK head or stage 800. Anyways, pics are below and I am going to field test them at my band's biggest show to date later this week. Super excited! These things sound great (no suprise) and the the new black face matches my stage 800, although the silver grill is pretty classic looking.

OutSTANDING, @Flacco! Have you tried both 210s with the Rumble Stage 800 yet? That 610 800-watt modeling rig is one of my dreams!! Perhaps at your big show?

AND you've got the newest Blk/Blk 210 cabs with matching grille and hardware to the 800. That's really top shelf!

Wow! I didn't know you could do a 6x10 with 3 210 cabs with the Stage 800! Noice!! I just bought the extension cab and I really like it alot.

For clarification's sake, one of those "3 210 cabs" is the Rumble Stage 800 combo, itself! Yes, the Stage can take either an 8-ohm, or a 4-ohm external load to get the full 800 watts. Just set the impedance switch to the appropriate external load:

I agree, don't get any ice near that... :smug:

I agree, too. That ice would sublime directly from solid to steam if the Stage is cranked!

Or perhaps he means "Noice", not to be confused with "Noise", as da New Joisey pernownciation of "Nice"?

Welcome Rumbler #983! I don't know about having 2 extensions with the Stage 800. I'm not that familiar with the new series, but be sure you check to see what the lowest impedance acceptable to the 800. With the 800 and 2 2x10s, the amp well see 2.67 ohms. Rumble on!

That's a big 10-4, Dav! Hence the impedance switch I just shared. A tremendous, though often overlooked, feature of the Fender Rumble Stage 800 amp.
