This might seem like a dumb question, but here goes nothing...
While I somewhat suspect it is going to be well after I am dead before I outgrow my Rumble 500 combo, but let's just say for the sake or argument I want my Rumble 500 to move more air (more / larger speaker area...) the Rumble 500 features 2x10 Eminence drivers, but the Fender cabs in the Rumble Series are a choice of either 4x10 or 1x15.
Are either of these cabs really a good choice to pair with the Rumble 500 combo at some point later on down the road? Looking at the specs, the 410 would mean I would require help moving it, that is something to take into account.
I see all the naysayers here talking about how bad mixing speaker sizes is, but I can't really see a need to use a 410 extension cab. I could be wrong here, and I have seen people using a 4x10 and 1x15 rig on stage and they sound great... So I just don't get it.
I've plugged my guitars into my 500 combo. It actually doesn't sound bad at all. But this was just solo. In a band/gig situation, I'm not sure how it would sound in the mix.Good day.
I've been lurking for a bit, just signed up. I would like to join your club.
I just picked up a Rumble 100 V3 on Saturday. After I got it home it became clear the difference between it and the 200 is more than the wattage. I'm talking about the "high-frequency compression tweeter". In addition to my basses, I'd intended to play my guitar through it occasionally, even though I'm not sure its a good idea. Is it OK to play guitar through a Rumble? Would it be less of an issue with the 200?
Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, Chaser1!Hi everyone, I am happy to join the Rumble club! Just picked up a Rumble 200 v3 and I am super impressed by it. I was torn up if I should get the 500 but after playing the 200 in store I realized that this should be more than enough power for what I am doing and playing. Reading through this club has answered a lot of questions. Thanks guys

wait, you mean you didn't bring your own bass with to test out an amp?Okay, I must admit I am having a BLAST exploring the various settings on this amp! I hit the overdrive, started twisting knobs and grabbed a pick... Oh so easy to dial in tight, crunchy and seriously aggressive sound!
I should be more specific, this sounds MUCH better than the demo I did in store (Yeah they had an Ibanez Soundgear, but not a PJ config, and certainly NOT with EMG pickups...

Kids these days...
Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, Shadows Bass!Hi Everyone, i've been following this thread for months and found it incredibly interesting. I have been a V1 Rumble 100 owner/user for many years and have always liked the tone and reliability of this amp. I've lost count of the number of gigs we have done together over the years. Anyway, I ain't as young as I used to be and carting a bass amp around is no fun any more so the light weight of the new V3 Rumbles really appealed but the size made them look like toys. Reading this thread changed my mind and thanks to you guys I picked up a V3 Rumble 100 this week. The tone is so different to V1 but I love it and can't wait to use it on a job. Looks like the old rigs will just be ornaments in the music room from now on. I think this amp has extended my playing years and would recommend these to bassists of a certain age.
