Damn, I guess that means I need a new bass (currently have 5) and a new amp (only have the 500H + 210).

So... Rumble 210 + non-Rumble head and.... I really don't know on the bass. SR400QM to mod with Nordstrand Big Splits and an Aguilar preamp perhaps... or a Godin Shifter... maybe a shiny green Fender Performer J Bass... Yamaha TRBX174EW might be a nice cheapy or go the other end and get an Ibanez Prestige.

It's going to be hard to follow this even number rule!

update on my ongoing lunacy with expression pedals
Local Fender dealer hasn't got them, & said it would be March before they'd be able to get any.

Managed to get one for $70 from Sam Ash, using my sign-up discount, which I'd never used before today.
The rep. complained that I've been a customer since 2011, but still helped me get the discount.

Musician's Friend has them for $70 also, but I hate the fact that their standing orders with UPS is not to allow will call reception of the delivery.

For months I told myself the Rumble 40 could do most of the stuff the Studio 40 could & I was wrong, LOL!
I directly compared them again this morning & besides the effects & the models the Studio just sounds better.

The 10" driver is exactly the same, though!

Hi guys, I have another question regarding my first edition Rumble 25 amp. I noticed when stereo aux cable is plugged in the amp the headphones out comes out as mono, is that normal? I hear both channels but they are combined, no stereo left and right image. Is this how rumble 25 is supposed to operate? I got mine used, are the new ones, V3 models acting the same? If this is normal for this amp, are there any bass amps that would take a stereo aux signal and pass it to headphones as stereo?

I've been using a pedal board for years and going straight into a console for recording, also my old BXR300C amp didn't have headphones out or an aux input so I'm not sure if all amps combine the aux/headphones stereo to mixed mono signal. Hope someone here can shed some light

Pretty easy to understand. You toss a stereo signal into any mono amp and it comes out mono. That's all it can do. It's like watching a color TV broadcast on a black & white TV. You see it in black & white. You can not see color from a black & white TV. Likewise, you cannot hear stereo from a monaural amp.

I was just sitting here thinking I could easily dye the grille cloth, but I'd also like to change out the corner brackets, to the flat black ones like on the Studio & Stage.
Does anyone know where I could buy those?

..... For me with was a perfect fit for the swap... No modification at all. If there is someone that would like to swap there silver for the black I would be up for that.

Hmm, not only is the 200 head missing from the Rumble webpage on Fender.com, but it's own webpage there is gutted thus:

Daydreams? I want a Stage head of basically any wattage. A full tube 20-50 watt Rumble/Bassman would be cool too.

On the bass front I'd love to see a contoured Telebass with split singles in the bridge, middle, and neck and circuitry similar to the EBMM Big Al (on/off buttons for pickups, active/passive switch, 4 band EQ). Preferably offered in a Squier or MIM.

What about light as possible Bassman 110s? Those could make for a cool Fender mini-stack.

What we'll actually see IMO is a small extension to the Rumble/Bassman lines with apparently the 200H being dropped. I could see a Stage 300 head replacing it, depending on sales of the current Stage/Studio. Fender is in the middle of restructuring all their lines so we may see an updated Classic series, or they could release a Modern series. There's not too many price gaps in their basses and guitar ranges and for amps they seem to be looking to slim down their product lines. I guess I could also see the 200C and 200H getting a power amp upgrade so they're more like 200 watts at 8ohms, 350 at 4ohms. Depending on sales/cost of production I could see em axing either the Rumble 15 or 25 and just moving forward with 1 starter-pack-level amp.

That already exists as the Bassman 100t. All tube and switchable from 100 down to 25 watts. Silent record mode too, which is a first for an all tube amp. You can catch a quick glimpse of Michael Rhodes playing through one in a recent studio video of Joe Bonamassa.

I never played the Rumble 200 head. Only the 500. So I'm not sure if there is any tonal differences between the 2. Or if there is enough difference to justify having the 200 and 500 heads on the market since they are the same size head and all other things being near equal. As a gigging musician, the 500 head just seemed to be a better choice for bang for the buck.

Now I get why the 200 makes sense as a combo.

Now for future Rumble offers for NAMM? I'd like to see a studio head. I've been toying with the idea of a second 500 head as a back up and/or to leave at the rehearsal space. But if they did do a studio head, I'd be more interested in that. Say in a 500 or as the 800 it already is in.

I wasnt too keen on buying the combo simplbecause I already own 2 of the 210 cans and would prefer to just use those cabs vs. Another cab/combo. And I've been looking to purge my pedal board and go lighter as my current band I dont need or use everything on my board, so I could get away with less. Easily doable. Fender had the Mustang IV floor pedal for a year or two. If they come out with a new Mustang GT floor pedal first, then a new Rumble floor unit shouldn't be far behind. While possible, I tend to doubt they will happen. Fender wants to sell amps, and lots of them.

I've been looking to purge my pedal board and go lighter as my current band I dont need or use everything on my board, so I could get away with less. I was toying with the idea of just using my Zoom B3N with the Rumble set up for this band. But if the studio head comes to light, I may forgo all that and just get that head and make life easier.

We'll find out soon enough! As good as my ZOOM B3 was, I ditched it when my Studio 40 arrived as it is so much better.

Yes indeed. The Rumble 40; 100, 200, and 500 all have the same front end and the specifications can be found on page 6 of your owner's manual. If you don't have one you can download a copy from Fender.com
The frequency centers are: 80Hz; 280Hz, 1.2kHz (or 1200Hz), and 10kHz.

Will there be a Rumble Club 400 1x15 combo?

Hmmm, do you mean Rumble Club 400 as in "Studio - Club - Stage"? Yeah, baby! That would be totally righteous!! The greatly hoped for Rumble Club 400 head, might have 250 watts at 8 ohms, 400 watts at 4 ohms!!! Pair it with any of the Rumble cabs for great mid-level power voices and tones. Even the remaining Rumble 112 cabs could handle that quite well.

And a possible new Rumble 212 cab could be rated at 500 watts continuous and 1000 watts program, to be a perfect one cab companion for the Stage 800; it could even conceivably fit the 200/500/800 footprint, though probably have to be taller, and come in the new Black-on-Black cosmetics.

How clear is non-bass / guitar through the Studio 40?

In other words, when using the aux in, how do drum beats, piano etc. sound through the combo?
