Fender Rumble Club

Lenny, just be aware that the preamp and Master Volume of the slave amp are both bypassed, meaning the full power of the slave is always on! So, start with the volume on the master amp way down and turn up gently.
So if I used the Ampeg 20w tube amp with a rumble 200c this way, I would get the full 200 watts from rumble while using Ampeg as the EQ?

I'm not familiar with the wiring of your Ampeg amp, but the power you would get from a Rumble 200 combo would depend on whether or not it had an 8 ohm extension cab connected. You'd get 140 watts behind the signal from the 200 combo alone, or 200 watts from the combo with an 8 ohm extension cab attached.

Hello All,

I saw a post where someone was chaining 2 rumble combos together I think thru the effects loop.

Can anyone help me with this to find that post or tell me if it can be done.

Thanks

@LennyJ, it has just been brought to my attention that I may need to elaborate on my response about "full power" of the slave. The facility of chaining two amps together does not change the speaker impedance load that either amp sees. So whatever power the slave amp is loaded for will be totally put behind the signal it receives. Since the Master Volume is bypassed on the slave amp, you must control the total system volume on the master amp. Even a low volume signal from the master amp will get the entire (full) power that the slave amp is loaded for. That's why it's prudent to start with a low volume from the master amp.

But, yeah, you could go ahead and dime it. But, . . . .
