They are just more drivers that would skew the wattage going to the individual speakers within the cabinet. @pipelinepete didn't factor them into his calculations, so I expressly omitted them in my explanation. To be perfectly honest, factoring in the horns is also above my pay grade. When you have to start considering crossovers, damping and that sort of thing, I get lost fast.

Ah well, I wasn't exactly in my right mind when evaluating the effects on the Studio 40.
After absolutely no one agreed with me about the effects with an expression pedal I assumed either, A: No one else is using an expression pedal with their effects, or B: It's not the amp, it's ME!

It turns out the effects aren't all jacked up like I originally thought, they just need to be adjusted. EVERY detail needs to be adjusted.
I finally got the pitch shifter to respond in a pleasing manner by adjusting everything, but mostly the toe/heel settings.

The default setting is really low for the Up position & really high for the Down position, which is why it sounded like a robot maneuver when being manipulated.
It even works well with guitar now that I have it adjusted right. No more idle pining for a double-locking vibrato guitar!

As far as "studio-quality" effects go, I'll hold off on that judgement until the day that I can get a closer approximation of the Wah on Black Sabbath's N.I.B.:

I meant the speakers. Like has anyone used that v2 2x8 with a v3 1x15?

Ive heard a few different heads through the Rumble V3 210 and I've always been impressed. I'd love to try my 500 head into a pair of v2 1x12s.drool

I have an expression pedal and the switches for both mustang and stage. I hate how sensitive the switch is on the exp pedal. Also I can't seem to get it to save the wah as off by default. It keeps coming back on when switching patches.

I tweak every setting and haven't had any trouble getting the sounds I want with either amp except one thing. I did have to fight to get a usable univibe. In Katana the univibe is usable right off default settings. Sounds like you are finding similar with wah. I do think the effects and patches are all really good with some effort.

Well I didn't purchase one, unfortunately. I work at Sweetwater and they have one available to borrow. For the price though it's hard to beat. I love that they added in an Aux and headphone to it as well.

Very nice! How do you like the 1x15 extension cabinet? I have the 500 combo with the 1x15 and it really fills out the sound for me. The two tens seem be more sensitive to farting out then the 15.
