Fender Rumble Club

... ...
I have contemplated a few alternatives, such as, . . . .
"Rumble On!",
"Mo' Rumbles is Mo' Bettah!", and
"Let's Fire Up Our Rumbles!"
... ... , but I feel strongly both ways! Are there others that, perhaps, should be added to the list and submitted to a vote for The Official Club Motto? Or, should we just continue using whichever of these, or whatever other, phrases we may choose at the moment to express our esprit de corps? Just how organized, or regimented, do we wanna be? Do you see my dilemma?
.

I like this one because we were all Born To Rumble! No need to get ready!

Perhaps add "Ready to Rumble!"? No "Gettin' ..." needed?

And maybe also add "Born to Rumble!"?
.
Yep, I see your De Lima's...those little, white beans...;)

Oh!? You do?! [turns around, "zz-zzip!", turns back around] How about now? :)
.

I have previously considered this, Gravy. But, then . . . .
.

... I was made aware of this. Did a few seconds of innerweb research and decided not to risk it. :rollno:

I must be in big trouble, then. Every member number assignment post ends with the phrase Rumble On!. If I get sued, I get sued. I don't think any reasonable person would sue over a non-commercial use; however, you do have a good point and I would support a pole to select a motto. I would insist that the pole be something like
giphy.webp

AFAIK, you're safe with the phrase, ”Rumble On!", Davy. It's just the "Let's get ready ...etc" Link Removed. So, you shouldn't get sued. And we're not not talking about reasonable people here, but lawyers. (apologies to any attorneys here)

Pole? What pole?

The phrase-and 'performance'-is owned by Michael Buffer who can sue for unauthorized use. That said, when our group plays a song with a particular Latin flavor, I have been known to say "L-e-e-e-et's get ready to Rhumba":smug:

I once sold that guy a printer at the Staples in Van Nuys when I was a young kid going to MI. I had to carry it out to his car and the licence plate said "MR.RUMBLE" lol.

Is there any talks about making this? I have no need for a combo, but am intrigued by the amp modeling.

The amp and cabinet modeling is really very good. I've owned some high end rigs, all 4x10" cabs and heads by Fender, Eden, GK, Hartke, Ampeg. Most of the modeling presets need a little tweaking to get the desired or preconceived sound. But I can tell you it comes very, very close. Toss the matching 210 cab under the combo and you've got a very capable rig. I play with 2 guitar players, 2 keyboardists (one plays guitar on some songs, one plays sax on some tunes), plus a drummer. So potentially 3 guitars, drums, keys at the same time and the Stage 800 can cut through. My current favorite preset it's "Workingman's Bass" with the reverb bypassed and the OD dialed back a little. Perfect punch and bottom to grit ratio for my new J bass.
So, if you want the modeling don't let the combo deter you from giving it a true try out.
Rumble On!

I get it. I've also owned the Rumble 500C, and liked it, but I'm now using a modular setup with multiple cabs. Having that modeling in just the head would be a better fit for me.

Yes, there's talk, here, about a modeling head, alright. But that's all it really is, so far.

Eventuality of a Rumble 800 head.
(Who knew it wouldn't have modeling?)

Fender plans for Rumble 800 head?
(See Photoshopped mock-ups!)
Mock-ups unmasked!

Use Studio 40 as a head?
(An idea with merit!)
How to: Studio 40 as "head"!

Photoshop disclaimer needed.
(Don't believe everything you see.)

Fender DID make an 800 head!
(Just not the one we expected.)

Fantasy only: Rumble Club 400 combo & head!
(Medium power daydream.)

"It's only make-believe!"
(Sorry, but it's not true, ... yet.)

Sharing my fantasies.

Much more testing needed though, it takes a while of continuous playing before it happens.
Update on this: my Rumble 500 combo does indeed die out after running for a few hours - initially the volume drops off by more than half and then it starts a sort of 'amp-throwing-up' sound: "uuhhhh, uhhhhh, uhhhhh". Passive bass input, clean contacts on the new Fender lead, nothing else in the signal chain. I wrote Fender who gave me the local authorized repair shop contacts.

I took the repair shop guy's advice and videoed it while it was in that state so that I have something concrete to prove that there is a problem.

Nobody else had this issue? Anybody have any suggestions before I take it in?

Kind of related:

I am going to try going out from the headphone of the 40 to the aux in on Stage.

Thinking:

Set the 40 to a high passed distorted channel.
Set the Stage clean and bass heavy.

I have a gig lull coming up and will be trying it then.

That's an idea, but still defeats the purpose. I would like to just bring (1) main head to gigs.

But just think of the Studio 40 as a "head" feeding higher powered combo(s) as "cabs". It's simplicity itself. The main "head" has a built-in speaker for practice. The "cabs" are powered speakers. It's scalable from a Studio and just one combo, to a Studio and two combos with extension cabs! And there's all the built-in redundancy, in case of any gear failure just use a different configuration. The combo "cabs" can be whatever you want, as long as they have an FX Return, or Pwr In, (or, last resort, instrument input) to accept the Studio's FX Send(s). And whatever expansion those combos allow, whether passive cabs or powered speakers, are also your choice. Modularity! Simplicity! Flexibility!
