Fender Rumble Club

But just think of the Studio 40 as a "head" feeding higher powered combo(s) as "cabs". It's simplicity itself. The main "head" has a built-in speaker for practice. The "cabs" are powered speakers. It's scalable from a Studio and just one combo, to a Studio and two combos with extension cabs! And there's all the built-in redundancy, in case of any gear failure just use a different configuration. The combo "cabs" can be whatever you want, as long as they have an FX Return, or Pwr In, (or, last resort, instrument input) to accept the Studio's FX Send(s). And whatever expansion those combos allow, whether passive cabs or powered speakers, are also your choice. Modularity! Simplicity! Flexibility!

Just alot of money for a small practice combo amp that I don't really need.

It wouldn't be my main head. I would still need to bring my main head to have this plugged in for the effects. Not really economical.

Or just consider the Studio as a multi-effects pedal (with built-in amp and speaker) to your existing rig(s). Thought we were discussing configuring hypothetical rigs. My bad.

The amp and cabinet modeling is really very good. I've owned some high end rigs, all 4x10" cabs and heads by Fender, Eden, GK, Hartke, Ampeg. Most of the modeling presets need a little tweaking to get the desired or preconceived sound. But I can tell you it comes very, very close. Toss the matching 210 cab under the combo and you've got a very capable rig. I play with 2 guitar players, 2 keyboardists (one plays guitar on some songs, one plays sax on some tunes), plus a drummer. So potentially 3 guitars, drums, keys at the same time and the Stage 800 can cut through. My current favorite preset it's "Workingman's Bass" with the reverb bypassed and the OD dialed back a little. Perfect punch and bottom to grit ratio for my new J bass.
So, if you want the modeling don't let the combo deter you from giving it a true try out.
Rumble On!
I too find the amp modeling excellent. I have played through many different amps over the last 40 years and this amp just performs so well. I have it paired with a 1x15 cab and it sounds so good cranked. I am going to give that “Workingman’s Bass” preset a closer look.

Until recently, my only amp was a Blackstar Fly 3. I knew eventually I would need something larger. When this Fender Rumble 100 showed up in the want ads for €100, and in Frankfurt to boot, my problems were solved. For that price, I could overlook the missing grill, since the grill frame was still there.

Today, I finally got around to doing something about it.

Nice enough for entry into the Fender Rumble Club, if you'd like to join, Volker!

So here I am with my Rumble 100. As you can see, G-Dog sent me.

Do we get numbers?

I debated the 115 cabinet with mine but decided to get the matching grill cloth (not the most important, I know) of the 210.
I bet that combo rocks the 115.
Ready Freddie and My War are both good bones for tweaking to your desired flavor.
Let us know how it goes. I'm always interested to hear what presets other bass players like. I've found mine to be very bass dependent. Some that I love with my EBMM don't trip my trigger with my Fender, etc. And vice versa.

That's my plan if I ever go back out on tour for the first time.
It is VERY quiet over there, my thread about the Pitch Shifter issue I was having on the Studio 40 went w/o responses, at all!

Indeed, I'm disappointed with their lack of threads about Bass VIs...

I hope you forgive me, I've been on a StarGate kick for months!

Rumble 40 - Needed a lightweight amp for acoustic gigs. For 19 lbs, this little 10" sounds so much better than anticipated. My first Fender amp too. Just got it yesterday so still messing around with it, but I like it so far. It's going live tomorrow night. -alan

Welcome brokencode.
That's a great looking P bass, looks vintage. What is it?

Alan from Allen! I am also Alan. My wife's (last) name is Allen.

But I digress. +1 on that being a cool p bass. Welcome!

For you Linnin followers, I found him on the Invalid Link Removed, ... He said, "Tell everyone I said hello! They can reach me here or on facebook where I use my real name = Linn Spencer.
Rumble On Man

Just curious. Did Linnin get bounced for good?

Hope not. I feel like he knew his chit and I always read his posts.

Linnin has been back on TB this week, but he cannot currently post in the Rumble Club thread. Don't know if this is temporary, intentional, or what. We'll see.
