Well gang, I did a thing. Bought myself a second Rumble 100!
I know what you're saying. But Alan, you were supposed to get something bigger, like a 200 or 500! But my reasoning was 2 fold:
1) after a frustrating rehearsal with my 25w ampeg vs. My drummer on the kit, I decided I wanted one for the rehearsal room. Great Rumble tone and no schlep? I'll take it!
2) I figure I can do the daisy chain in the rare case that the 100 alone isnt enough. The idea of a bigger Rumble spending most of it's time in the closet just wasnt sitting right with me!
So I see it as a win win. I only got to spend a little time testing out the daisy chain, but it is LOUD! I figure if I find myself hauling the 2 combos to gigs on a regular basis, then I can upgrade. But I've got my bases (pun intended) covered now, and let me tell you it's been a real GAS buster!
Got it from GC used online. I called to confirm basic working order. great price, but still a few minor issues:
1) the dreaded sticky yellow knobs! Not huge for me, I can change them down the line.
2) fender logo is cracked! Also NBD, my other logo got snapped off in a load-in, I can just remove this one to match!
3) rubber feet are a bit damaged, 1 chewed up, 1 missing. Anyone ever replace these? Seems like the kinda thing I can get at a hardware store....
Anyways, I'm very pleased with my decision and my purchase!

I would rather just have one 500c or even 200c and be done with it. Much easier than hauling around two combos, cheaper too. But if it works for you, that’s cool.
The thing is, its rare I'll need both. In 2 years, I've only had one gig where I wanted more that the 100. When I realized I wanted a second to leave at the rehearsal room, it was a no brainer. Like I said, if I find my situation changes I'll be ready to get a bigger one.
Welcome Rumbler #1096! Those 40s are great little amps and that is one nice P. Rumble On!Rumble 40 - Needed a lightweight amp for acoustic gigs. For 19 lbs, this little 10" sounds so much better than anticipated. My first Fender amp too. Just got it yesterday so still messing around with it, but I like it so far. It's going live tomorrow night. -alan
Master volume for the headphone preamp will definitely influence your signal.
With all the talk about the digital rumbles I suppose I'll put my two cents in. The thing I've been most satisfied with on the 800 Stage so far is just how close the post DI signal sounds to the tone generated by the amp's speakers. Grant it I've got a really nice PA speaker that makes everything sound good but man it just weirds me out how effortless it is to match the two sources. Can't say I've ever once been dissatisfied with the lack of coloring from the amp drivers. I want a flat response. Especially in a modeling amp. Maybe I'm weird.
Maybe. But yer not alone. The only "effect" I use is an octaver when we go out as 3(B,G and D)instead of 4(B,2G and D). It fills things up during guitar solos. AFA modeling, I EQ to the room and leave everything as set. I don't have a need to sound like different amps-and our audience wouldn't notice a difference anyway.

Hey I’m looking to get either a 200C or 500C and was just wondering if anyone on here has had some experience using a Tech 21 VT Bass DI with these amps? Do you even need to use a VT bass with these to get that tone?
Also what do you guys recommend between the 200C and the 500C? I understand one’s a 15” and the other 2 10”s but can the 500C sound just like the 200C but with more volume? I’m playing classic rocknroll in small to medium bars/clubs.
Here's a few Rumble+VT testimonials. The "need" is subjective, and thus a matter of opinion.
I'd said b4, if I was starting over on this, and with knowledge I've gained from Rumble Club-and the Wiki, I prolly woulda gone with the R200h and 2 R112 cabs; one most of the time, 2 if needed. That said, I'm totally happy with the 200c and occasional-like tomorrow night's gig-112 cab.
Up to you whether the $ and weight difference is worth it. Yer prolly never gonna dime either one. My opinion is the 15 gives rounder bass and I can roll some off(I usually do), but I can't add lows that aren't there to 10s. And, of course, 2 10s are heavier than one 15.
Interesting(I read all 6).Not being a fan of the 'Peg sound(for me), I'll stick with the Rumble on its own. BTW, in the 'group pic', you can see the little Ampworks simulator on top of the KB300. Unneeded for the Rumbles.

So just throwing this out there. I started to have a weird buzzing sound in my Studio 40. Took it to the dealer and found that Fender is replacing the amp for me should be here in a week. Luckily I have a v3 40 so I am good for the next couple of gigs. I am so happy they took care of the issue no questions asked
The 500 will have a little bit more headroom. A lot of guys prefer the sound of the 200 because of the speaker size difference.
Depending on your band, you might need an extension cab in either case to keep up if you’re trying to carry a room without PA support.
I had the 200 but it couldn’t keep up with my band, so I traded it in for a Rumble 800 head and a Rumble 410 cab. I would have gotten the extension for the 200 but I liked the modular options I gained by going this route instead.
I prefer the 500, mostly because I prefer the definition I get from the 10" drivers without sacrificing any low end. Also, it allowed me to get a matching cab for the optimum vertical coupling effect. That said, many like the 15" in the 200, and it’s a little lighter, and a little cheaper, with a little less headroom. Ya pays yer money, and ya makes yer choice.
Having owned both, I thought the 200 sounded great at practice and rehearsal volumes but seemed a bit boomy at gigging volumes whereas I find the 10's in the 500 to much more tighter sounding, better at cutting the stage mix. Far less requests from band members to turn up.
