Fender Rumble Club

Has it occurred to anyone that it’s...Fender Friday!

It may be your room. An HPF is built for poor venue acoustics.

A parametric eq has been used by other TBrs to pinpoint offending frequencies.

Also try getting your rig off the floor. A pad under the cabs can help too.

Another way to test your rig is to listen to it outside.

I use the Broughton LPF with my Rumble 500 at home and in band situations with great results. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I had read another post about the Broughton being used mostly at venues with bad acoustics...maybe my room has bad acoustics. I will definitely try moving the combo and cab throughout my space. I currently have the rig(s) on carpeted mats on wood floors...I may try those workplace standing mats or pay (too much) money for pre-made isolation stands.

I'll keep turning knobs and may change back to roundwound strings.

Thanks again for the responses and to others who clickedon/read my post. TalkBass seems like a cool forum with cool users.

No pictures of the rig to post, sorry guys.

I used a Snap-On kneeling mat a coupla times. Thicker, rigider foam. Better than nothing-and cheaper.

First post to this forum...joined ... I recently purchased the 200 combo (using an Ampeg ext cab for full 200 watts) ... ... Knobs have been turned and turned again on both bass and amp... ... Thanks. ... ...I wore out the search function and my eyes melted.

Welcome to TalkBass, namey! Show us a pic of your Rumble 200 and join The Club.

Ok, talky, please post a pic of your Rumble when you get a chance. @basstalkname, you are now member #1165 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations, and welcome to The Club and to TalkBass. Both have lots of knowledgeable, helpful folks, along with the obligatory not-so-helpful few, once in a while.

Also, checkout the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, for all kinds of Rumble info. But, whatever else you do, please . . . .

Rumble On!
