You should be well and truly equipped for any eventuality. I have the 500c w/210 extension cab, a Rumble Studio 40 and an ordinary Rumble 40, as well as a Rumble 15, and consider myself able to handle most situations. :)

Here is a picture of my Fender family:

The family consists of a Squier Vintage-Modified Jaguar short-scale bass, a Jazz Fretless bass, a BG29 Acoustic short-scale bass, and a Rumble 40. The Rumble is on top of a Mastercraft portable toolbox to transport my cables, effects, and stuff.

I switched to bass (from sax) around 30 years ago, but have only played sporadically since. I hope to hook up with a group (post-Covid) once I improve my chops. The Rumble has a great sound. I use the "flat" setting with Contour engaged with my fretless (my main bass). If the gigs require it, I will get a Rumble 100, but I would like to play with a low volume-type group.

I look forward to getting a number. Thank you.

Hey, there, NoBby! Your wish is my command. @NoBassesInReality, you are now member #1234 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put your number in your signature and wear it proudly! And please feel free to ask, answer and discuss whatever comes to mind. Also, checkout the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, for more Rumbleness than you can shake a stick at!

You certainly have some great looking, and I can only assume imaginary, basses there to cover most situations. Tell us of your Rumble journey and other bass ramblings. We love to see 'em and hear about 'em. Then, we also love to . . . .

I just bought a like new Rumble Studio 40 from a fellow TB'er - do I need to wait for it to get shipped to me and get a picture before I get a wonderful number to this elite club?

Cheers,

Rob

Mmmmm, well, now, ... uh, .... I don't think we wanna get the cart before the horse, here, now, do we? But, well, seein' as how yer in such an all-fired hurry, an' all (and we sure can't blame ya for that, when it comes to Rumblin'!), I reckon we might could kindly, like, meet ya halfway there, Tex. Didja see any photos of the Rumble ya just bought? If so, can ya share 'em here? I think most us Rumblers could see our way clear to letcha in with that. How 'bout it?

Then, when you actually get it, you could, maybe, like, share an updated pic taken at your place with your bass(es)? Do ya think, huh? Whata ya say?

Well, there's photos of this SMEXY amp on the classified page - but I'll play by the rules, and wait for it and post an appropriate pic then!

Now, that is some amazing restraint, rz. I applaud your fortitude.

While you wait, you can get to know your lovely Rumble Studio 40 by browsing the info in the Stage & Studio Links section of the Rumble Club Wiki page, including the Stage & Studio manual, and the Videos and TONE App Support sections just below that. There's really a lot to learn about that little jewel of an amp, besides just using it as a Bluetooth speaker and controlling it with your smartphone. Speaking of controlling it, while you're on a spending spree, you really should spring for the MGT-4 footswitch for getting the most out of your Studio. Or, if you can find a used ULT-4 or MS-4 footswitch you can save a couple bucks and still get the same functionality! Read about them in the Links section of the Wiki. And note that the first thing to do is make sure your Studio amp is updated to the latest firmware!

You should also browse thru the Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 postings of the Rumble Club Sub-Thread created specifically for these great modeling Rumbles. A lot of the various technicalities have been explored and explained there. Yes, you are about to open a Pandora's Box of bass amplification functionalities that should keep you intrigued for many years to come!

Enjoy!

I am AMPED (pun wholly intended)! I’ll check out the footswitches you recommended - I’m thinking it’ll be a handy accessory...gods know that my guitar amp is great, but without a foot switch, it’s not nearly as versatile.
The Rumble’s XLR out will plug into my Yamaha mixer/DAW so I can start laying tracks!

Addendum: MGT-4 footswitch ordered....

I’ve been rumbled!
I started with the 25 but didn’t like the sound of the 8” speaker so I sold it.
Got the 40, and a week later the “buy once, cry once” mentality kicked in so I returned it and settled on the 500.

:roflmao: That's quite a Rumble journey, rukker! But my own Rumble 500 combo doesn't seem to me like something to "settle" for. @Ruknrole, you are now member #1235 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put your Rumble number in your signature and wear it with pride. That R500c will certainly do you proud. You might wanna checkout some of the various settings in the Rumble Club TONE Pool, on the Rumble Club Wiki page, to see what it can do.

roley, please tell us what brought to the Rumbles and what all you've played before. And feel free to ask, answer and discuss whatever you like here. We wanna get to know you, then you can join in as we all . . . .

Just bought a new Rumble 500 2X10 combo sight unseen on Musicians Friend. I am hoping to be impressed but honestly don't know what to expect since I have never owned Fender amps/cabs. Bought this because 500 watts at $600 from a "name" company in a 10 inch speaker configuration was about the cheapest I could find. Plus the reviews in all the music apps and markets were great. My last setup, which I sold 2 years ago was a Markbass Jeff Berlin 15 inch combo with another 15 inch cab extension. Yes, two 15s hosting an American fender Jazz bass. Man do I wish I had that back. My new setup will be this Fender rumble 500 210 and a Vintage Brand P-bass. Old set up cost me $2150. New setup costs $1350 after I add Fender 12 inch extension cab. I can only hope the new setup somewhat rivals the old.

Congrats! You will be impressed that so much tone and punch can be contained in such a light weight package. I'll be interested to hear how that ext cab works out for you. Those 12 inch cabs are HARD to find. Wish Fender hadn't discontinued them.

Enjoy!!
