Fender Rumble Club

Yeah, the sounds I get outta this stack are incredible. The chain is 67 THUNDERBIRD NR>EHX Micro POG w/ dry output>R200c/R112; daisy chained 200c efx send>R100 efx return, and POG(octave up)efx out>R40. "Stomping" on the POG gives the sound of a bass and guitar playing unison. (Pls ignore clutter-I do)

This 'little' experiment was the first time I'd split the signal. I had the R40 EQd differently than the R200c. Separating it really made the "guitar" clearer and didn't muck up the bass tone. If we go out as a trio(or if we go out at all), I might take the 40 along and do this since it doesn't take up any extra floor space. 1 more cable but I gots plenty of those.

Bought a Rumble 200, a little over 5 years ago new, didnt play it that much due to kids, got it out to play, no sound. I checked basses, cables, connections behind the woofer and horn, Fx send DOES have signal, as well as the input responds to my bass(s), just no speaker output. I took the amp off and unplugged/plugged back in what I could but to do thay for every connection I need to remove the pot nuts. I do remember the last time I played it (1 year ago) some of the pots were dirty, but simple movement would remedy. All the lights function normally. As I was working putting the amp back in I did hear it come to life for a couple of short burst, seconds really, but then again off.

I've always had good remarks, and read a few promblem posts but never really had a issue. Does anyone know what this could be? I do plan on disconnecting and cleaning all of the connection but not tonight.

1. Hey, labeledy! Better late than never, eh? I take your avatar as the requisite photo and do hereby declare, @labeledbass, you are now member #1232 in the Fender Rumble Club. Welcome!

B. It could be a corroded FX Return switch, which cuts off the signal from the preamp to the power amp. Try an instrument cable from the FX Send directly to the FX Return. If that makes it work, then just turn it off and run the cable plug in&out of the FX Return jack several times to knock the corrosion off that switch. A not too common, but often overlooked, problem.

III. If that doesn't do anything, then all I can say is take it to an Authorized Fender Service Center. It may cost a few bucks, but they can do a much better cleanup and straighten up than most users can.

About to hit the hay but defintly will loop the Fx and see, and I did remove the speaker, i didn't remove the woofer but I did check out the connection, i will remove and check again. Thanks guys! Ive always like it, I'd hate to have to replace the amp portion. I'll let you know what I find out!
