Fender Rumble Club

Pulver, my apologies for overlooking your way-ahead-of-the-curve discovery back in August(!) of Fender's stealth introduction of this significant bass oriented new product!

I just now "discovered" it myself while looking for new NAMM Fender bass stuff and today's date on this article made me think it was brand new today. Fender Trapper Bass Distortion: The Premier Guitar Review

But, no-O-O-o-o! Now I find that it has already been around a few months, as you pointed out way back then. There's been a couple of 'em sold on the TB Classifieds and it even has its own "Club-ish" on TalkBass.com. Fender Trapper Bass Distortion Club-ish

Am I the only one to so cluelessly miss this the last few months? Personally I've very happy with the built-in Overdrive(s) of my Rumbles and Bassman. But others may like this dedicated, sophisticated and now edificated Fender Trapper Bass Distortion. :)
.
By no means - I hadn’t heard of it either. To be fair, you have to dig around for it on Fender’s website, as it’s not listed with the bass pedals. Looks quite interesting, too. :)

Maybe that's true on Fender's European website, Jake. But it is on Fender's bass pedals webpage in the U.S. from A., along with the Downtown Express.

That doesn’t surprise me. In my parallel universe, the link you posted leads to the front page, and the link to bass pedals in the menu leads directly to the Downtown Express page. The Trapper Bass Distortion resides in the Boost & Gain section. Go figure. :rollno:

Just out of idle curiosity, is there a "Trapper Dual Fuzz" pedal, which I assume to be the guitar version of the "Trapper Bass Distortion" pedal, on your Fender's Boost & Gain webpage?

You are living in a special bubble in Norway Jakob. Or so it seems. Out of curiosity I tried just now and the direct link took me to the Trapper Bass pedal and the bass pedals link shows me both Trapper and Downtown Express. That or your DNS is fooling with your sanity... I use OpenDNS instead of what my ISPs offer. Although I primarily chose it because I have set up a load balancer with two different internet connections by two different ISPs to always stay connected. That's... uh... work related and not a sign of unhealthy internet addiction... :)

It’s probably to do with the fact that Norway is in Europe, but not part of the European Union. We get this quite a lot with US websites. If I’d used a VPN it would probably have been different.

Ah, your explanation makes sense even though the reasons for it (from Fender's side) are unclear. Maybe they simply do not know about the issue. I wonder how our rumblers on the Brexit islands are treated now... EDIT: on second thought UK is likely still on the same "EUP" list as always and unaffected.

Played a gig here in Jupiter, Fla at a Tiki Bar right on the water. I brought my Rumble 200 with a lil carvin 115mb extension cab.....Was planning to use my Precision however I started getting a bad hum so it stayed home. I picked up my 96 AM Standard Jazz threw it in my Gator Bag (OH its got La Bella deep talkin flats on it - like 3 years old). Wow! What a tone - I was floored at how sweet n deep and how it blended/sat inside the mix...We opted for no PA support due to the relative close proximity of the people in front n the building like 30 feet away. Keep in mind my Rumble 500 arrived from SW the next day...I wait a few days to plug into the 500 - same bass - OK - not bad I then plug in the extension 15 - OK - unplug it n plug in a 210 cab - wow lotsa heft for sure - however, I was a lil put off because I still had that tone in my being from the gig - I thought the 500 was (same settings) not as warm n fuzzy as the 200 - And I'm like what did I do? - I am sure I will learn how to enjoy the 500 with its accompanying palate of ext cabs - I have used the 200 at many gigs but never with the extension 115
always the 210 and it was amazing - bottom line: I believe I have all the bases covered - n Thats a good place to be.....If I can only unload my Carvin B2000 - SWR 610 Goliath n ole school workhorse GK 400RB - Blessed!

Yeah, I played there once . The 200c by itself(no FOH) is plenty.
