Fender Rumble Club

Played a gig here in Jupiter, Fla at a Tiki Bar right on the water. I brought my Rumble 200 with a lil carvin 115mb extension cab.....Was planning to use my Precision however I started getting a bad hum so it stayed home. I picked up my 96 AM Standard Jazz threw it in my Gator Bag (OH its got La Bella deep talkin flats on it - like 3 years old). Wow! What a tone - I was floored at how sweet n deep and how it blended/sat inside the mix...We opted for no PA support due to the relative close proximity of the people in front n the building like 30 feet away. Keep in mind my Rumble 500 arrived from SW the next day...I wait a few days to plug into the 500 - same bass - OK - not bad I then plug in the extension 15 - OK - unplug it n plug in a 210 cab - wow lotsa heft for sure - however, I was a lil put off because I still had that tone in my being from the gig - I thought the 500 was (same settings) not as warm n fuzzy as the 200 - And I'm like what did I do? - I am sure I will learn how to enjoy the 500 with its accompanying palate of ext cabs - I have used the 200 at many gigs but never with the extension 115
always the 210 and it was amazing - bottom line: I believe I have all the bases covered - n Thats a good place to be.....If I can only unload my Carvin B2000 - SWR 610 Goliath n ole school workhorse GK 400RB - Blessed!
After a couple of playing hours the speakers will start to break in -> warms up the sound

Ah, your explanation makes sense even though the reasons for it (from Fender's side) are unclear. Maybe they simply do not know about the issue. I wonder how our rumblers on the Brexit islands are treated now... EDIT: on second thought UK is likely still on the same "EUP" list as always and unaffected.
Being SOB (south-o-de border), I get lots of strange things happening with websites, even though I have a VPN with US identity. Mostly it is just that currencies are in Pesos, language often defaults to Español, and getting shipping statements about not delivering to Mexico or charging more than the product. Some links do take me places I was not expecting, rarely for the good. But my On Sale Rumble 200c arrived in 5 days and even with my duties and shipper costs, I paid less than the current MSRP.

Was just Rumbling with my 200c and Bronco sporting TIs.

Well I just got done practicing with one of my friends. He played an acoustic guitar unplugged and I played my P Bass through my 100c. I put the 100c on my amp stand and it sounded great! Very clear and no boominess vs being on the floor. I only had the volume at about 1 (1 out of 10) and it was more than enough. My friend and I could hear it perfectly on the stand. I think I'll be putting my 500c on the amp stand for my full band practices.

I searched, but can't seem to find a club for those of us who use and love the Fender Rumble series of amps. Any interest?

I've been playing at home with my Rumble 30 since late January and it seems to me like this amp puts out a good share for being so small! Originally I was looking at the Rumble 15 but went with the 30 because of the extra input jack, more wattage, and I read online reviews which said the 30 would be good enough to play with a band in a small venue even versus the 15 which didn't have as much bang.

Hope to hear form some fellow Rumble fans soon! :D

So this makes me the founding member, #1? I feel this is a big honor for someone so new on the forum!
Yep, I'll join your club.

Yep, I'll join your club.

And we'll be glad to have you, Tony! Say, would you mind posting a pic of your Rumble(s) so we can "Ooo" and "Ahhh" over it/them while I go dig up the membership list. :)

Oh, and BTW, it's not required that you read the whole Club thread from post #1 to #43693! But you're certainly welcome to, if you wish. ;)

Anything new in Rumbleland from NAMM 2021?

Would that there were, Maarti, would that there were. But, alas, no, not really, at least I don't think so, not yet anyway. :(

Our long-awaited Rumble Club NAMM fantasies still have yet to materialize. (sigh)

For a little while I thought this Trapper Bass Distortion pedal was new for this NAMM, but it turns out to be a few months old already. Quite interesting if you need more than your Rumble's built-in Overdrive. I linked its own TB "Club-ish" thread about it here some days ago. :D

The closest thing to new NAMM Rumbleness I've seen is the new Fender Mustang Micro headphone amp. Since the Mustang amps are the 6-string siblings to the Rumbles this is pretty close! And, since it has no speakers, it should be safe to play bass through. Not exactly a Studio or Stage head, as previously wished, but still very portable! :woot:

So (most of) the V3 Rumbles introduced 7 years ago this month are, apparently, still the mainstay-of-the-bass-art and best bass bang for the buck, with the now 3-year-old Studio 40 & Stage 800 still representing the state-of-the-art, and the now 2-year-old LT25 and 800 HD being the newest Rumbles. In truth, not really a bad stable of offerings, when you think about it!

Thanks. I need to sell my 120v 200c and 40c, and then rebuy a 220v 200c with a 210 cab when I get to France. May get a 220v Studio 40 instead of a 40c. We'll see. Wanted to make sure none of that was being replaced/upgraded before spending the euros. And right now, the exchange rate sucks. Bad. After transfer and exchange costs, it's about 80 euro cents for 1 US dollar.
