Yummy!!Hmm. Do they(Studio/Stage)have a setting that'll duplicate this but louder?

I will say this, though: If I’m contemplating a new effects pedal for my board, the Studio 40 is an excellent testing ground. It allows you to try out any number of effects to hear roughly what they might sound like, without spending a dime.Me, personally, at this point in our unfortunate shared history, actually use only about 10% of the stock modeling tones and have not dug as deeply into tweaking even those as much as I believe (and hope) I would under normal gigging & jamming conditions. I've also downloaded precious few of the Tone Community posted presets for consideration, but do use their Acoustic and Acoustisonic presets a bit.
I prefer to use my tablet for the Tone App instead of my phone 'cause it's a bit easier for these ol' eyes to see. But, that's really just for tone tweaking at home, which I find fascinating. Not that the menu is so complicated as to require much tweaking. It's not, at all. It's very quick and easy to get lots of great tones. It's just that there are so many options I want to explore and the deeper menu parts allow that without being intrusive. But at my previous gigs & jams, though, I occasionally used the footswitch for quick preset selection, but more often just used the selector knob for that.
I, for one, am not into separate pedals. But, I consider that the Stage & Studio offer countless great quality pedals all built-in for the extra price of just a single pedal, or possibly two. But, if you feel your tweaking & exploring tolerance is somewhat more limited, then maybe the Stage or Studio isn't your thing. But, you never really know 'til you try.![]()

Yep, likewise. On the memory and the "MORE POWER"-Tim the Toolman. My Studio 40 has Bassman presets and they sound great although my memory of what yours sounds like has faded over the years. For more power I would use the Studio 40 connected to my Combo 200.
As mentioned before, I had 2 of those. Stupidly sold them in ~1986.Yummy!!![]()

Some really good info being shared today re: Studio 40 into larger combos.
Thx, everyone, I’m learning new stuff!

Since I have the B25, R40, R100, R200c, and, of course, the Kasino-not to mention 2 P___'s*, I think I'm set for whatever is left of my life. Unless The Prize Patrol comes to my house.I believe so, Goner. They have about 5 Bassman amp models, including a '59 Bassman and a TV style Bassman (and the cab models to go with them!) being the older models. If that doesn't quite get you there, then there are stompboxes to boost whatever is needed and different EQ effects, such as graphic or parametric to fine tune anything.
Louder? In the Stage 800 most definitely! In the Studio 40, ... mmm ... well, maybe not directly. But plug the Studio 40s left (mono) FX Send into the input of your R200c and you're definitely cooking!![]()

Well, $150 later, I've got a Rumble 500. I found it on Craigslist, seller said the preamp was bad. My initial intention was to simply use the cab, bad preamp, right?

Seller DID mention that he has cats...
I cleaned it up and tried playing through it. Mostly everything seems fine to me. Well, the Vintage button is stuck, I'll check that out. Pots and jack are a little scratchy. I'm beyond confused. I'm also pretty excited.
Thank you! Yes, I've read a ton of "separating the amp and cab", for whatever reasons we have.Wow! Score, 'Cuda! @CatchaCuda, you are now member #1294 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put this number in your TB Signature for safe keeping. And checkout the Rumble Club Wiki page for lotsa info, like the Rumble Modifications section, in case the cab scenario crops up again.

Thanks Ronzo! Well, Im peeking inside. There's some corrosion next to the Vintage button and the button itself won't stay engaged. The overdrive button is MIA but wasn't inside of the amp.Great score, ‘Cuda!!!
