You shooda smiled.

In all seriosity, it woulda been nice if Tom(the drummer) had said-to me anyway-that he was gonna have someone use his phone to take a pic or two. I didn't know this was about to happen 'til I looked up from the music to see some clown pointing the camera at us. No warning, just 'click'. Otherwise I woulda stood rather than propping my fazaza on my stool.

No, man! You know, like yesterday? Your line is, "I was smiling." Then I post the "ba-dum tssss" gif and everybody laughs. Remember? We were such a big hit with that schtick! They loved it!

Oh, well, too late now. That's OK. We'll kill 'em at the next show. Just be ready with your lines, OK? That's the trooper.

Actually, it's a pretty good picture, considering the backlighting.

Does anybody know how a rumble 500 combo would sound with a Hartke 2x10 200 watt extension cabinet? I already have the rumble 500, but I don't want to shell out the big bucks for the fender 2x10 extension. I'm pretty sure I can get a sweet deal on the hartke though.
I have packed my old Hartke 210 cab (sealed) with 2 Carvin 300 watt eminence spkrs - n heckyeah the bugger thumps bigtime with the 500 or 200.
BTW: I believe that I ordered the 8 ohm version of the speakers thinking it would make it a 4 ohm load - sounds awesome - sealed SVT Thump -

My first thought was "why aren't they wearing masks?" - but maybe that's considered an inappropriate comment?
Yeah, can't play sax or trumpet with a mask and the guitarist, drummer, and I all sing. Masks were on loading in/out. No one got within about 8' of the band.

So, here's my "Bundle of Rumble". Everything has served a purpose and done well. Now that I have the Studio, am thinking the 40 may be released for someone else to enjoy, but that's not the reason for this post...

I've recently been using the 15" Rumble Speaker as a center speaket for the theater system. Was supposed to be a very short term thing. I needed to use the 15 for its intended purpose, so I relplace it with a 'good quality' regular speaker in the theater.

5 min into the next movie we watched, the ol' lady made me pause the movie and reconnect the Fender 15 back up to center as it had much clearer voicing!

Gotta figure something out to release my captive Rumble 15 from the theater system!

I've been away from Talkbass for a few years but glad to know the Rumblers are still here. I was wondering if anyone ever found a workaround to make the Rumble XLR output more useful? One of the quirks of the amp is the post master level of the XLR, which is a problem when you want to turn up the amp but not the XLR output. Even the FX send is post Master so can't DI from there. I love the sound of the preamp so some workaround would be great.

Long time, no see, Stingy! ;)

No workaround that I've heard of, since mic'ing has the same effect. There are, however, several of us that believe the effect is small and, therefore, just live with it and try to talk our soundmpersons into the same. See some tests, testimonials and experiments in the XLR Out Volume Levels section of the Rumble Club Wiki page.

But, the newer Rumble 800 HD head does not have this effect! It even has a Pre/Post switch on the XLR. The Rumble Stage 800 & Studio 40 also do not have this effect and have selectable Pre/Post XLRs. Who says Fender doesn't listen? :woot:

HTH
