Fender Rumble Club

Aye, I love my 500. Just knowing that they discontinued it and the "what if breaks, how do i replace it" What do I replace it with? Only option now is the 800, so I was wondering how it sounded compared to the 500.

I'm with you on the 410 cab. That is what I wanted to begin with, but the 410's were out of stock when I ordered the head. So I got the 210 cab. And they only had 1 of those in stock at the time. It would be about a year before I got the 2nd 210 cab. I didn't really feel the need for the 2nd, be we had a pretty high profile show coming up and we wanted to show off a bit, so I got the 2nd cab to make my rig look bigger. Our lead guitar was bringing a head and 412 cab to the show. Which was way different for him, he normally uses a 112 Tube Combo, either a Fender or Mesa. Our singer/guitar added a second cab to his 212 combo, so I thought I'd be a big shot too and add that 2nd cab. Turns out I really like having that cab there for more sound and push the amp a little less, but mainly to get it closer to my ear vs. the back of my knees. I really LOVE the small footprint, but HUGE sound I get from the rig being stacked 210 cab on to of 210 cab. But with that said, 90% of my gigs go to my GK MB212II combo, just easier to plug and play that combo vs. head and cab setup. As we normally play packaged shows with plenty of other bands and need to get on and off the stage quickly. This way I have more time to help our drummer get set up and broke down.

With that, I can see a future of being a stage jerk with the 800 head and 2 x 410 cabs, just because. I mean, come on, I'm grinning just thinking of that. Totally not necessary, but come on- how fun would that be at your back?
I added a 210 to my 200c and man what a difference! Huge and solid!

Here’s what my 800H pushes air out of at 2 Ohms: GB 212T and an Eden EX115. All 3 drivers ate 300w and both cabs 4 Ohms. ... ...

Awesome, Groovy! And the 15" is up top where you can hear it best.

But, you know, as I've often mentioned to many 115 Rumblers, that 300W 15" could possibly get up to 400W if you crank the 800 HD. So, be careful, aw'ight? ;)

It does. Tried the 212 on top but the 15 there is definitely best, and vertical is also best dispersion, to my ears. This is a simple, solid rig that didn’t break the bank. Low gain and master at 10-2 o’clock is plenty in any situation and keeps things super clear. I have minimum pedals to add compression, overdrive (just a touch) into the front; and amp models/multi-effects and a Bass EQ through the loop. I haven’t found a good way to use the 800H’s overdrive channel as to me it sucks bass frequency and is more fizzy than I like. This Fender head is a bargain and does the 2 Ohms I needed at the price I could afford.

I searched, but can't seem to find a club for those of us who use and love the Fender Rumble series of amps. Any interest?

I've been playing at home with my Rumble 30 since late January and it seems to me like this amp puts out a good share for being so small! Originally I was looking at the Rumble 15 but went with the 30 because of the extra input jack, more wattage, and I read online reviews which said the 30 would be good enough to play with a band in a small venue even versus the 15 which didn't have as much bang.

Hope to hear form some fellow Rumble fans soon! :D

So this makes me the founding member, #1? I feel this is a big honor for someone so new on the forum!

Cheers for the member number!

My rumble journey started a couple years ago... I took up the bass in 2017 and once I started playing with other muso's about a year later, bought myself this little rig to get me on my way :D
IMG_6614.JPG

After lugging this around to a few rehearsals with my new band mates I quickly realised, that while exceptionally loud and rather impressive looking, this rig was just way over the top for what I was doing. So I started shopping around and eventually landed on the remarkable Rumble 200 combo.... I was pretty impressed with this right off the bat. It handled itself quite nicely even after we brought a (loud) drummer in. But I was always worried, after countless amp experts telling me "YOU NEED MORE WATTS" that it wouldn't stand up in gig conditions... well, I have since done at least 15 gigs in varying venue sizes/set ups and can say that it's NEVER once let me down... I'm now starting to learn how to dial in the tones for the venues and getting great results.... my last gig (Friday just gone), I had a bassist from an Iron Maiden tribute band come up and compliment me on the tone I was getting... even though I'm not the least bit interested in Iron Maiden (no offence to any fans out there) this was quite the compliment and I was pretty chuffed!

So that's me and a bit of my Bass/fender Journey so far. My basses are:

late 90's CIJ Fender P - vintage white with maple neck/fretboard, white pickguard
(the first "real" bass I bought)

2019 US Fender J Professional Series - Olympic White, mint pickguard, maple neck/fretboard
(Wedding anniversary present from my wife)

Sterling By MM SUB - mint p/g, rosewood
(my current gigging bass - I freakin LOVE this thing!)

2017 Squier Vintage Modified PJ, tort p/g, rosewood
(my first bass)

Squier Affinity P Bass, black p/g, rosewood
(will be a project bass for a bit of fun)
