Fender Rumble Club

I am at Roland Martin's in Clewiston this Friday and Saturday 7 - 11 and Sunday noon to 4 pm. That is a bit out of the way. I know we will be at J & S Fish Camp sometime which is about 30 minutes from Stuart. We did a couple of gigs at a mobile home park in Hobe Sound and some of those people drive over to see us at J & S. I will check my schedule and give an update. Just got back from a long city council meeting. Ready for dinner.

Cool. I'll watch for updates.

Thursday's was the(usually)jazz gig at a place called "Notes" in Stuart, FL. It's a converted house with the living room being the live music room. Fairly tight quarters. There may be pics(BIL was there). We did a more 60's rock thing which went over well so the owner wants more of that.
Friday's gig was a dinner dance at an Elks Lodge in Port St. Lucie, FL, pretty good sized room-even has a(small) stage(!)-a rarity around these parts. Small-ish crowd, but they enjoyed our repertoire of dinner music, dance numbers, and a bit of rock. Our audiences are usually 55+ so, thankfully, we don't get any hip-hop requests. More likely to get doo-wop requests.
Next 2 gigs are 3/4 @ "Notes" and at a local restaurant/bar called "Harry and the Natives" for breakfast/brunch on 3/7 from 9(AM) to noon. I should be awake by 10:30-ish.:rollno:
AFA doing solo work, my piano playing is incredibly rusty. Wasn't all that good to start. AFA guitar, my 'ability' is best described as "I've got A and E and I'm workin' on D".
I do sing-harmony and some leads-but I'm not a "lead singer".

Dude I used to live in Stuart. I was a sax hit man for south Florida. Hahaha I played In multiple big bands from Jupiter to Miami. Some folks you play with May know me

play with a new-to me

Definitely possible. I also played in big bands from WPB to Vero Beach. It seemed like every time I'd play with a new-to me-band, I'd know about 1/2 the horn men from some other band.

It’s a cuddly little guy.

Can we still sign up for Numbers? I am digging my little rumble 40 and it has such good thump for its size. It's kept me sane for the last 6 months lol.

Well, this is a first, at least for me. Let's see if I can keep this straight. @Sean Collins, you are now member #1306 in the Fender Rumble Club. Yeah. So far, so good. And @Bassdoggydogg, you are now member #1307 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome, both of you, to TalkBass in general and to The Club in particular! Put your Club numbers in your TB Signatures for safe keeping and to be instantly recognized as bassists.of distinction. Make yourselves at home here and on the Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumble wisdom and knowledge.

Please tell us of your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Whatever your situation, we have many others who can relate. But, of course, we all have that one thing in common that we love to ... ...

Rumble On!
.

... ... And I also have a random question: I had a rumble 200 combo and the light would kick on and the speaker would pop as soon as I flipped the on switch, but it takes a second or two for my 500 to get started up. Is this normal?

My 6-year-old Rumble seems to light up & pop to life as soon as I flip the switch. But I wouldn't be surprised if they are now made with a "kinder, gentler" switch that makes a more graceful entrance. If that's the only concern you have, I wouldn’t worry about it. But, if anything else seems wrong you might wanna ask abput that.

Heck yeah thanks bro! Ahhhh now for my bass experience and rumble journey... Well I was about 14 when I got my first set up, it was a random yamaha 4 banger and a rumble 25 (might of been a 15 it was so long ago I really can't remember). About a year later I upgraded to a 5 string Music Man Ernie Ball and a rumble 100. That set up was kickin, but I had to sell it to pay for some uhh debts :( Fast forward to more recent times I was rockin a 200 rumble combo and a short scale mustang just for fun and to get back into bass. Then I said I'm gonna go crazy and push it to the limit, so I sold those off got a pbass and a 4 banger sterling stingray and after a short stint with a Blackstar unity 500 (HORRIBLE BACK RATTLE) I found my way back to Fender amplification with my current 500 combo :D

@G-Dog -- did you just recently switch your avatar image to Boris Badenov? Or had you been using that one all along? If you have been, I don't know why I just noticed it after all this time. If it's new, well, I didn't see an "Allow me to introduce myself" ala Boris. My wife used to be a newspaper reporter and she once interviewed Bill Scott, one of the guys (along with Jay Ward) who invented all those Rocky and Bullwinkle characters. She said he was a hoot. Anyhoo, nice avatar. Brings back nice memories.

Sharp eye ya got there, John. The avatar is new for me, but the characterization has been an occasional, ongoing thing in the Combo Club, ([0]=289525&c[thread]=1142208']other Boris samples). I've been a big supporter of the "Fearless Leader" there, who recently tricked me with his new avatar. This avatar was a reaction to that "betrayal". But, vhat else iss beink expected of Fearless Leader, no? :roflmao:

My apologies to Scott & Ward. But these characters are some of my younger, if not quite childhood, memories, too.

ps: Most Rumblers are eligible for induction into the Combo Club and are recommended to join the fun there.

How many country and western musicians does it take to overwrite a preset on a Rumble?

Five. One to overwrite the preset, and four more to write a song about how good the old preset was.

Fortunately, thanks to @Droopy_TX, any overwritten stock presets are easily reset using the preset templates linked in the Droopy_TX Preset Experience sub-section of the Tone App Support section of the Rumble Club Wiki page. He painstakingly captured all the settings in all the stock presets of the Rumble Studio 40 & Stage 800. Dunno about LT25 presets, though.
