Fender Rumble Club

Ok, I'll plead ignorant here but never thought of or I guess heard of that. And if I really thought the 100 wouldn't suffice I could just use my Rumble 500 and have that power right?
That was(sorta)my problem. I didn't know about daisy chaining them 'til I read about it in the manual. Also, after playing through both the 100 and 200c at a GC, I chose the 200c for the speaker out, which the 100 ain't got. I really like the tone of 12's, but the 15/horn combination in the 200c worked well(though I mostly play with the horn OFF). I had a R112 extension cab and the sound of the 200c/112 was-for me-perfect, but none of the places we play-and the volume we play-justified that rig. Sold the 112.

Try daisy chaining yers and his'n. I've done it with another guy's(named Guy)2xR100s. Great sound.

Yeah, Shorty, per the Connecting Combos Together section of your Rumble Club Wiki page, just run an instrument cable from the FX Send of one R100 (the main) to the FX Return of the other R100 (the secondary) and VIOLA! ;) Ya gots ya 200 watts thru two 12s all completely controlled by the main R100! It's ideal where even the 350 watts of the R500 is overkill, which I often find.

Interesting, and I learn something already. The only downside is having to make the guitar player bring his 100 to the gig.

Do it at least once, and also take your R500, to compare the R100x2 mini-stack to the R500 alone. You may prefer the fullness of 2x12s to the ,admittedly quite full, 210s. :D

If you try it, remember EFFECTS SEND of the top one to EFFECTS RETURN of the bottom one. All control(EQ, etc.)is from the top one. The only control that will work on the bottom one is the POWER switch.

I just did something I've never tried before. I A/B'd the Rumble 100 and 200 side by side, one at a time. I am surprised at the results. Although it's not my usual EQ, I first set every knob at 12:00 for an equal comparison, with the tweeter off for the 200. 140 watts into a 15, and 100 watts into a 12. The 100 was rattling things in the room more than the 200. The 200 had more highs. The volume was very similar. This is not at all what I expected.

Next, I stacked them and while plugged into the 100, I ran the effects out to the 200's effects in. the two amps worked perfectly together! One of the best bass tones ever with the knobs all still at 12:00. If I need more power than either offers, I wouldn't think twice about stacking them and running them this way. They work together perfectly!

In the end, I think either the 100 or the 200 could be EQ'd to sound pretty much the same as the other. And of course, we all know they are both stage worthy in their own right. They are both great amps. I just can't' believe how great they sound together!

Yep. I forgot to mention that I'd daisy chained my 200/100(or 100/200). Saweeet.

Jeezy Pete! I HOPE you didn't actually get the full 140 watts and 100 watts out of your Rumbles, Gregory! Maybe the volume was not quite dimed?!? You'd have to repair your room! :woot:

Yes, I certainly wouldn't expect the 200 to have more highs, especially without the tweeter on!

Great to read your real life confirmation of what we've been told from day one of the V3's release, that they are designed to work well together (especially the cabs).

All sounds like logical conclusions from your experiment, T. Good to know. Thanks for sharing. ;)

I had both volumes set to 12:00 which is only halfway up! And the tweeter really was off.

Well, I've read that some people say the "half volume" settings, on some amps, can be 75% to 85% of full volume! That's still a whole lotta volume! :woot:
.
I think the sweep of the volume knob on the Rumbles works really well. It keeps getting louder and louder as you turn it up past noon if you were ever need it. Maybe outdoors? It also turns down nicely! I'm not into "loud" anymore so my volume is usually pretty low. I just wanted both amps to be up to a good volume for the comparison.

Done the same many times. My 100c chained to my 200c or my 500c -> my200c. Can confirm, sounds amazing!

The Rumble 200 has all the volume I'd ever need, but just for giggles I daisey chained my R40 into the R200.
They sounded great together. The clarity of the 10 and the bloom of the 15 sounded great. To me it was more about tone than volume.

Eggzackly! I actually turned down a little to hear that rich, fat tone.
