Fender Rumble Club

Just had a practice session on my Fender Rumble 500C with my Ric 4003 and rattled the windows down the street I think. Sipping on my Jim Beam now and waiting for my Dominos pizza to be delivered..had McDonalds for lunch a couple days ago after a similar practice then downing that with Jack Daniels and Coke.
Southern Comfort for lunch tomorrow with a nice Subway sandwich or wrap lol
All these American products one would swear that Australia is the 51st state of the US loll

I love them! I have a bunch of them. I use the 15 for practice at home and have the 200 at our practice space. Plenty loud and I can sit on it!
Most jobs I use the 2-10” 500w combo with a 1-15” extension cab. Great tone and plenty of volume even when I’m not in the pa. I’m 70 yrs old now and those 30 lb cabs are wonderful. I don’t have one bad thing to say about them. So count me into the club.

There's an 80s/90s Peavey thread in TB, and we were all remembering how heavy those things were. Even my Fender BXR 300 was like a cube of lead. Yes, thank goodness for Rumbles and how easy they are to move around!

I'm 71 in May and with you on the lightweight Rumble gear after years of dragging around a 122lb Peavey 1820 cab loll
I use the same combination you do too..500C and 115 cab. Agreed..great tone and loads of volume.

Loll yeah..I started that thread April 15 or thereabouts..loads of old Peavey HEAVY amps in that thread...took me ages to scan all those pics from my old catalogs and yep..the old Peavey gear was a back breaker (link below if anyone wants to check out old Peavey amps from the 80's 90's)..thank goodness for the great tone and volume I now have with the lightweight Rumbles.

I still have a KB300 that I used for bass and keyboard(1 at a time). Still works; hasn't lost any weight.

I briefly had a BXR 200 I got for free. I'm a relatively newer player so I wasn't lugging those around back in the day and HOLY HELL it was heavy. I don't know how you guys did it.

Rumblers:

Have you seen these numbers?

So, what do you think will come first?

1,500 members?

50,000 replies (2,500 pages)?

Ladies and gentlemen! Hurry, hurry, hurry! Step right up! Place your bets for "Members", "Replies/Pages" or "Views" to Win (1st), Place (2nd) or Show (3rd)!

I'll audit The Club treasury then draft a cheque for some really snazzy awards for the first correct guesses in each category, and a super-duper Grand Prize to whoever hits the tri-fecta first!
  1. Only Rumble Club members are eligible for prizes by posting their guesses here in the main Rumble Club thread. There is no charge for making your entries.
  2. Only one guess per category, per member, is valid. Your first recorded guesses in each category are your only valid entries. Any subsequent guesses are invalid, so give it your best shot the first time!
  3. As the only currently serving Club Official, I will officiate, referee and, in all other ways, administer this contest/raffle/event. I will also not be eligible for any prize(s).
So, there's the start. But, since it may take some time to determine the order of all three categories reaching the above stated goals, there is no rush at this time. Further details will be determined as we go.

Good luck to all!
.

I-I-I-I-I-I'm ... makin' a list, ... checkin' it twice, ... gonna find out who's ... uh, ... got the first recorded correct guess(es). ;)

:bassist: Congratulations Rumble Club :bassist:
:hyper: on Surpassing 3,000,000 VIEWS! :hyper:

And our first winner to guess "Views" in first place is @Black Out Jazz! Congratulations, Blackie! Be sure to check your mailbox for your prize of one schmillion schmackeroons! Woo hoo! Yes! Well done, sir!

Before you put down this valuable prize, which as a hard currency could barely buy a cup of coffee with this amount, think of this. This venerable hard currency has now successfully transmuted the cyber-space and come back stronger than ever as a new crypto-currency. And it's popularity, much like that of the Rumble Club has gone thru the roof! Why, the cyber banks have yet to be able to accurately calculate its exchange rates, but it's reportedly very, very good! ;)

So congratulations to Black Out Jazz and to the whole Rumble Club on making this great milestone. Long may she wave, while we all ... ... ...

Rumble On!

Folks,

I have the older Rumble 40 that I got new in 2018. 40 watts. Originally for our music room at work but when that part of the company was bought out - I ended up owning it. So I guess I am a club candidate.

I am thinking of getting the Kitchen Sink Rumble (the one with Wifi- BT and amp models ) Can someone direct me to the thread (I will also search). I am interested in how close the amp and cab models are and if the built in speaker is transparent or the models are best for recording instead.

Kudos to Fender!

Back in July I posted about my new Rumble 100 1x12 practice amp. Since that time, I've been very impressed with the little amp; however, it recently began making random crackling noises. To ensure that the issue was the with the amp, I unplugged my bass and left the amp on with the volume turned up and sure enough, it's the amp. I then took a short video before calling Musician's Friend (MF), since this is where I purchased the amp. However, when I called and spoke with a rep from MF, he politely explained that I must call Fender and he provided me with their number. (As an FYI, I think MF is now outsourcing their call center.) I then called Fender and spoke with a rep named Bella, who was amazing in helping me resolve the issue. She asked me to email her the video and proof of purchase, which I did. And within a few minutes, she said that she could send me a new amp or refund my money. She also stated that I can keep the amp that I currently own. Unfortunately, a new amp won't be available until May or June of 2022! Fortunately, I still have my Rumble 100 1x15 amp that I can use until that time. Also, I got 15% off of the old price of $300 and the Rumble 100 1x12 now has a $350 price tag.

In conclusion; although I do use another amp for rehearsing and gigging, I've been playing Rumble amps for many years and never had any issues. So, I'm a little disappointed that my new Rumble 100 practice amp is having issues and it's only a few months old. However, I'm very impressed with Fender's customer service and their warranty! :D

Update: Kudos to Fender!

I received my replacement amp a few days ago from Fender. As an FYI, I was allowed to keep the original amp and there was no mention of destroying it. I was excited that the new amp arrived earlier than the original ETA. Unfortunately, when I opened the box I noticed that the plastic cap that lights up when the amp is on was not installed. Thankfully, I did find it in the plastic bag that's used to wrap the amp for shipping. At first, I assumed that the cap must have popped out during shipping. However, after ensuring that the amp was functional, I removed the electronics in order to install the cap. The cap was not difficult to install, but it did require a significant amount of pressure to lock it into place. And once locked in, it's very secure. Therefore, if installed properly, it seems unlikely that it would have come out during shipping.

I'll never know for sure why the cap was not installed upon arrival, but having encountered two back-to-back issues with Rumble amps, I'm beginning to question their QC.

To end on a high note, I still can't say enough good things about Fender's Custom Service Dept. and their reps. I originally spoke with Bella, but when I called back I spoke with Karlie. Both of these reps were very helpful and made this a wonderful experience, which is a big part of why I will continue to be a loyal Fender customer.
