Fender Rumble Club

Wow are you saying you can use a 40 watt amp to play with a band? I never imagined, but in my current setup I have not had an opportunity to turn this thing up (bedroom studio use).
Used the R40 last night in a pretty good sized hall. Plenty of oomph for the 65 and up crowd we played for-doing 60s rock-but not LOUD.

Have you seen these numbers?

So, what do you think will come first?

1,500 members?

50,000 replies (2,500 pages)?

Ladies and gentlemen! Hurry, hurry, hurry! Step right up! Place your bets for "Members", "Replies/Pages" or "Views" to Win (1st), Place (2nd) or Show (3rd)!

I'll audit The Club treasury then draft a cheque for some really snazzy awards for the first correct guesses in each category, and a super-duper Grand Prize to whoever hits the tri-fecta first!
  1. Only Rumble Club members are eligible for prizes by posting their guesses here in the main Rumble Club thread. There is no charge for making your entries.
  2. Only one guess per category, per member, is valid. Your first recorded guesses in each category are your only valid entries. Any subsequent guesses are invalid, so give it your best shot the first time!
  3. As the only currently serving Club Official, I will officiate, referee and, in all other ways, administer this contest/raffle/event. I will also not be eligible for any prize(s).
So, there's the start. But, since it may take some time to determine the order of all three categories reaching the above stated goals, there is no rush at this time. Further details will be determined as we go.

Good luck to all!

Holy simoleons! "There’s no rush.", I says. "Ok, here's my guesses.", they says! And by some of our most thoughtful Rumblers, too! Sheesh!

Progress is being made:

I believe I have recorded all guesses made, so far, in the 2nd post attached. Does anyone else want to enter a guess for the possibility of winning fabulous prizes?? Or, do any of those who have only guessed one category, so far, want to guess a 2nd and 3rd? :D
.

Milestones getting closer!

Anyone else care to make their guesses?

More seriously, I’ve always been a fan of chicken head knobs. I had a few (mismatched) smallish knobs and decided to give them a try, but things are just a bit too compact. The beaks will slightly interfere, but those big … tailfeathers are just too much.
These are 1.25” (32mm). I think 1” (25mm) should work. Have to order some. Might try red… or color-code the controls. Hmmm… but smaller knobs might look too small. Thoughts?

I'm digging it, looks great!

I like how it organizes & defines the EQ section.

Not 'chicken heads, but I have/like these(smaller and-I think-better looking):

I like the look of black knobs over the cheese wheel knobs that Fender uses for the Rumble series, but I’ve discovered that the cheese wheel knobs are unsurpassed for reading settings on a darkened stage. So my style objections yield to functionality.

Holy popularity, Blapman! And we have our first winner!

:bassist: Congratulations Rumble Club :bassist:
:hyper: on Surpassing 3,000,000 VIEWS! :hyper:

And our first winner to guess "Views" in first place is @Black Out Jazz! Congratulations, Blackie! Be sure to check your mailbox for your prize of one schmillion schmackeroons! Woo hoo! Yes! Well done, sir!

Before you put down this valuable prize, which as a hard currency could barely buy a cup of coffee with this amount, think of this. This venerable hard currency has now successfully transmuted the cyber-space and come back stronger than ever as a new crypto-currency. And it's popularity, much like that of the Rumble Club has gone thru the roof! Why, the cyber banks have yet to be able to accurately calculate its exchange rates, but it's reportedly very, very good! ;)

So congratulations to Black Out Jazz and to the whole Rumble Club on making this great milestone. Long may she wave, while we all ... ... ...

New Rumbles for everyone curtesy of @Black Out Jazz!

So now I'm in need of a lite-weight 1x15 combo, I auditioned an Ampeg RB115, Hartke KB15 and a Fender Rumble 200. As far as volume and flexible eq goes, the Rumble won my vote. I spent quite a bit of time with it and pretty much like the eq set flat with the "vintage" circuit engaged. However I discovered that the notes bloom excessively on the 2nd & 3rd fret of the A string. Didn't do that on the other two amps. I grabbed a jazz bass on the show room floor, same problem on the Rumble. Anyone else experience this. I can't help thinking it's me and my lack of properly eq-ing an amp....99% of my gigs are through a modest pedal board and Avalon U5 with in ear monitors. TIA

Bloom, I guess you mean loud bassy, like wolf notes. The vintage on plus bass eq on 12:00 does put out a lot of bass. Might turn down the bass on the eq.

Remember: "flat" on a Rumble is ~10, 2, 2, 10. Gain, Vintage, and Volume as needed.
