Today, I sold my Fender Rumble 200 Combo. I wasn't using it as I play in my home studio.
There is another reason why I sold it...I am POD that my R115 cab, was selling at $399 until Fender decided to reduce their price to $299.
What level of brand loyalty are they trying to encourage? If they can decide that a product is only worth 75% of what they established a MFRP, what confidence does that give to consumers?
If they have an improved product to introduce, wouldn't one think they would do that and let the market decide the value of the new and old?
I am disgusted and questioning if I want to deal with them in the future. Correction...I have already decided to move on.

You're taking the wrong approach man. I see a price cut as redemption for the drastic price increases we've seen the last few years! Prices rarely, if ever, come down on new items, especially in today's age. With Fender's recent layoffs, it sounds like there are some major business model shakeups going on. It could also just be that the 115 cabs weren't moving the way the 210 and 410 were, so they might have lowered the price to move them. They already axed the 112. Everyone's looking for lightweight and portability these days, so… I wish they would drop the price on the American Performer Mustang by about $200, then it would be in reach for me.
Wrong approach? You are entitled to your own opinion. Look at all their other price increases...

You might be onto something. The 115 might be going the way of the 112. Always a possibility. Of course, Fender updates the Rumble from time to time, so maybe there's newer/better coming out. I sure hope they don't make all Rumbles with presets because I won't go there. I just need an old school simple amp that does one thing best. I have a 100 and 200, so I don't need anything else for now. Someday, I will probably get a new amp. I'll know it when I see it!
Wow! Fender has slashed prices on a lot of, but not all, Rumbles!!!
They even sliced $100 off the popular 210 cabs, both grille colors!!! Surely not about to discontinue them!
I cannot even conjure a guess what this might mean! Yeah, the Rumble V3 line has been around for over 8 years now. That's quite a record since the V1 lasted 7 years and the V2 just 4 years. But, I don't recall them ever signaling new products ahead of time by marking down the current models before the new ones are introduced.
And, really, why would they mess with such winning models when a major competitor just validated them by copying them a year ago!?! And the competitor was already higher priced and still isn't making such lightweight matching cabs.
I just dunno.

Well, that makes two of us. I don't know what game they are playing, but, I have moved on.
I still believe the R115 is a great cab and I am keeping mine. It plays nicely with my Ampeg equipment. I have lost confidence in Fender's ability to support their products. When they determine that they over-priced some products by 25%, I have to wonder what they are thinking. That, coupled with increases in some of their other products is just beyond my comprehension.
Wow, yep, I just picked my Rumble 210 Silver cab up from zZounds for $399. I thought it was a promo they were running. Yeah, I don't know what's going on with Fender, but it's something.
I wish they would bring back the AVRI series and American Strat Deluxes with the LSR nut and locking tuners from 15 years or so ago. Those were my all time favorite strats. I'm still trying to get ahold of another natural finish '72 Thinline HH Tele AVRI. That's one from the sold pile I wish I had never let get away! Probably will cost me a fortune now to get another

I paid less than $299 for my Rumble 100 15 months ago. They jacked up prices dramatically earlier this year. Probably pushed a lot of potential buyers to the sidelines as a result. Nice to see prices coming back to earth. Not going to read into it other than them needing to balance supply and demand in the market and push more product.

My guess(totally uninformed)is that things are slow in the music biz. People aren't gigging much so they're not needing replacement gear. They(7ender)may have over built and have a lotta [stuff] sitting in warehouses, which doesn't pay; does cost. I'd love to get a second R100. But ATM, I'm still suffering from mufunzalo.Wow! I get the sound(s) I want-w/o breaking my back-outta my Rumbles. Until someone builds something that sounds better, I'll stick with them. Tweetchie zone.
7ender for amps; Gibson for basses.
If you wait long enough, Fender might reduce prices on all their amps. Hope that is all they reduce (meaning quality)

"Reduced the price" implies they dropped the MSRP. But here we learn it's simply on sale. This kind of thing happens all the time, due to inventory, competition, whatever. It's not something to get mad at a manufacturer about.
No R115, but my first Rumble was my R200c. Love the sound, rarely need the extra oomph, so I use my R100.
I love my R115. I use it with my R500c and I'm crazy about the sound of it.

I came very close to buying a Mustang, but then G&L came out with the second release of the Fullerton Deluxe Fallout in standard colors (I hated the racing stripe on the original 3). Super happy with it.

I love the Fallouts, but I'm worried about neck dive and the position of the pickup. i have the Motown P sound with my current Mustang and I'm looking to get more of a Jazz sound and want that bridge pickup. Can you get it to "burp"?
I'm also strongly looking at the Sandberg California II TT 4 Short Scale, but it's even more than the Fallout by the time you add shipping from Thomann and the VAT. It looks more compact and seems like it would balance better.

I like mine... warm and mellow. Perfect compliment to my ex-R200 Combo (just sold yesterday). I am not playing out so I wasn't using it. I tried the R115 with my Ampeg 20T and it was great so, I decided to keep it around for a while.
A Rumble 115 cab is certainly worth the reduced price but it may need an HPF to tame the lows

I have an R200c with the 15 and it Pairs beautifully with my Rumble 210. I love it. I wouldn't use it by itself. With the 210 it's heaven.
