Fender Rumble Club

So Fender Rumble 500 head on top of a J2 Enclosure from our own LennyJ here on Talkbass. The punch and growl on that little setup is pretty amazing! Just been using it with an IbaneZ 800 and whoa! Can't say enough about the tone both the drummer and guitarist love the sound!!!
Thanks Kringle for the flat settings post it really allows for the sound of the individual instrument to come through,, linnin you think there's an 800 model in the future?

My ability to predict the future is pretty lousy. ;) I can't remember who posted this, but said something to the effect that his new Rumble 500 head was louder than his ampeg pf-800. On other forums additional statements have been made to effect that the Rumble 500 would be called a 1000 watt amp by other very well known companies. So I do think there is a 1,000 watter in the future. :D

Thanks for that. I just can't believe they put the master volume before the EQ and outs... It makes no sense to me!! Could anyone with a Rumble 100 confirm that? Please, just plug your XLR out somewhere and tell me please... Thanks! ;)

You really need to talk to Lync. He uses the XLR out from his Rumble 100 all the time, and he's not the only one, but members do come and go.

The line out sounds really nice and I have had no noise issues with my Rumble 100. Yes, the master volume on the amp will change the signal, but it seems to have "leeway" if that makes sense. The change coming out of the speaker on the amp seems much larger than the change sent through the line out. So, set up/soundcheck etc. and get your stage volume in the ballpark (which you should be doing anyway as to not destroy the vocal mixes for the singers). Then if you need to turn up/down a bit during the show, no worries.

Hey guys, do you think this footswitch would work with my Rumble 500? I've grown quite fond of both the overdrive tone and the clean (with the vintage switch on), I'd like to be able to use a footswitch to switch them if possible. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

It might, but the overdrive only needs a single switch. I have this:

It costs $20, and works great.

I use the cheapest one

Is it metal or plastic? It doesn't seem as aesthetically pleasing to me as the other switch, but it doesn't look that bad, cheaper too

Good question. The casing is plastic, but it's not flimsy at all. Very sturdy footswitch.

There is a one button switch that looks similar to that two button one.

But this one is much better build quality. With LED indicator.

Yeah, that's it. Here's a domestic link:

I greatly prefer that one! Only like $10 more too...Link Removed
I might have to e-mail Fender and see if this one is metal (I've heard stories about plastic pedals getting broken from being stepped on a lot).

Off-Topic; what camera did you use to take that picture? It looks great!

Hm, does it not concern you that it is plastic? Like I said above, I'm worried about it breaking since I don't use a pedal board, it would be the only pedal out there and likely just traveling on top of the Rumble or in a case with all my cords/power brick

The cheapset one just the bottom cover is plastic, but the Nipple-Like housing is metal with flat black spray.
I open the bottom cover, the inner contruction is simple & cheap....off couse ...china made.

My local GC dint bring the fottswitch with LED one.

Nope, doesn't concern me one bit. It goes in my cables bag when it's time for rehearsal or a gig, and I really don't use it that often. My son uses it more often than me LOL. But, I've never felt like I need to be gentle with it, either. It's a really solid little footswitch. But, best thing to do is run down to a local music store and see if they have a few. That's what I did, and I was confident enough in the economy one.

At my last few acoustic rock gigs I have been running my bass - ebs sheehan od - boss lmb3 - two notes - into fender rumble 500 2x10 upgraded with basslite 2010 drivers - with amps di out to the board. Eq set to a relatively neutral position. I am getting a great sound and it is an easy haul. Im doing that at tonights acoustic gig and trying it at tomorows electric at a place where I dont want to haul my rig. Running the notes in front of the combo, even just using the tube amp sim makes it sound much more lively.
