No, Coughy, despite appearances, rumors or even Goner's wishful thinking, no new products have been confirmed. This is always the case with Fender. They confirm nothing until they actually introduce new products.

For sure I’ll be turning the knobs inside out, pushing the switches and buttons every which way and exploring different combinations. So far, not getting the warm thumpy woody Precision tone I am looking for.

Rumbles on their own, with all the knobs at noon, are like Bassmans… a little boxy and a lot of mids content. Very punchy . Seems to have an inherent HPF at about 60-70hz.

But they shine in a mix. All the low end seems to appear in a mix. I guess that when you play it on its own, the heavy mid content tricks our ears to ignore the low end relatively to the mids. Thats why you dont seem to have the fat and thumpy tond youre looking for.

When I want to get some groove going, I usually cut the hi mids to 9-10 o’clock, back the low mids off a little and slightly boost the lows.

When p’aying in a band, I leave it all flat, cut the hi mids a little, often engaging Vintage mode so I get that nice compression and srticulation on the low end.

EQ is really interactive… Ive been through the pain but it was worth it. I sold my 800 HD one for a Mesa D800+, and then sold the Mesa to buy another 800HD and im never looking back. Playing it through a Mesa Subway 115 really helps though.

I have a Fender Rumble 100. I just need it for playing in the Worship Team at church, and it's honestly more than what I need for that. Never had to turn the master volume knob past 12:00.
I don't even need it for practicing at home since I already had an audio interface to hook up to my laptop, but it sure makes practicing a lot easier and a lot more fun.

Here is my brand new Rumble 200c. I’ve played it a couple of hours to burn it in and stretch the speaker a bit. So far I am not too impressed but it certainly is loud. I would say the tone sounds ‘processed’ in a way I am not used to hearing when I play. Going to be a learning process, a lot of knob turning and button pushing. Should be fun when I connect my R115 to it.

A concern is the slight fan noise and slight amp hum. If it were just one or the other I might not mind but the two together makes me a bit weary. I’ve searched our forum and it seems that some do have this situation. I’m coming from a 100% silent operational solid state Yamaha B100 + R115 so this noise (though not horrible) really stands out to me. Maybe that’s just the way it is? Can’t be because many have reported “mine is completely silent”. Here is the blushing brute:

My first Rumble 200 was completely silent. Unfortunately, it developed the "scratchy pot" problem and was replaced under warranty. I think Fender has since eliminated that issue since it doesn't seem like anybody mentions it any more. The replacement Rumble 200 has a slight fan sound, probably like what you are hearing. I only notice it when the only other sound in the room is my PC and a noisy light bulb.

For your tone, that Vintage button is like magic sauce for a Fender Precision or Jazz bass. Don't hesitate to press it! Good luck and keep turning those knobs.

Plus, it’s GP-approved! Gotta say, the 2 12s sound awesome (especially with Thunderbirds 8^). And it’s plenty loud for my current purposes.

That's been my winning ticket since earlier this summer. Sounds great, looks cool and I easily carry one in each hand for a nice balanced load. Frankly, they're easier than my 500c alone.
