NAD/ NRD! A second Rumble 100 showed up at the house today! I toyed with the idea of just getting a 200, but if I can ride 100 miles at a shot on my bicycle, I can jolly well carry 2 amps. Plus, it’s GP-approved! Gotta say, the 2 12s sound awesome (especially with Thunderbirds 8^). And it’s plenty loud for my current purposes.

Can the Rumble 100 link to any 8 ohm extension cabinet?

No, not without significant physical modification. Only the combos 200, and up, can accommodate an external cab. The 100 does not come with any external speaker connection, and adding one is ill-advised, according to a highly regarded amp tech around here.

Nonetheless, at least one Rumbler I know has done just that. He figured the internal 8 ohm speaker was "letting the amp loaf", so he added an external speaker connection to allow a total 4 ohm load. 8 ohms internal + 8 ohms external = 4 ohms total. I never heard from him again to find put how long until the "magic smoke" was released.

Oh, man, yeah, NO, NEVER do drastic, hard-to-reverse, warranty-voiding modifications on a Rumble still under warranty! That's just asking for trouble. In my case, it would fubar the amp with no recourse!!! Murphy's lawyers have him on speed dial wherever I'm concerned.

Well, the first rumble I played was my brothers 40 watt. And I thought to myself "I love this preamp I would love to have it in a larger format".
I've been sick of slinging around a 60 lb rig to gigs. The rumble is able to get me every sound I need in my current band (hard edged top 40 band).
So when I saw the 29 lb 800 watt Rumble, I pounced, and no regrets.
First gig is on 12/30 with the new amp!!!! Will be using my P-Bass, Analogman Juicer in front.

No, not "double". You'll be using more of the available wattage(500 vs 350), but you'll sound 'fuller' for lack of a better word.

Adding the Fender Rumble 210 cab, model number 2380100000, to the Fender Rumble 500, model number 2370600000, and/or Fender Rumble 800, model number 2372100000, combos takes you from 350 watts continuous and/or 400 watts continuous, respectively, to 500 watts continuous and/or 800 watts continuous, respectively, while simultaneously doubling the speaker area, Sir! Though that is not 10 times the power, it will afford a very significant increase in effective firepower and volume, Sir!
