Fender Rumble Club

Vexpress "SONICAKE" volume/expression combo pedal. Found it online.

Very cool, Goner! Have you ever used it as an expression pedal? I'm intrigued how you leave the input unconnected but connect the output to "the device" with a TRS cable and the pedal automatically, and passively, detects the expression to, ... uh, express! :eyebrow:

Just found a Rumble 2x8 500-watt cabinet for sale locally. Anyone have experience with these? Wondering how it would do/sound with my Stage 800 ....

Looked more closely at these cabs. Rated at 250w continuous and 500w program. Not ideal.

Yeah, RL, just one of 'em won't do ya much good with the Stage. But two of 'em could be great!! Either two 2x8", or a 2x8" & a lookalike V2 1x12", or (woo hoo!) two V2 1x12"!!! Yep, yer Stage can run two 8 ohm cabs! 2x10" + 4x8"; or 2x10" + 2x8" + 1x12"; or 2x10" + 2x12" =;):cool::woot:

@Lownotes75, you are now member #1624 in the Fender Rumble Club. And, @charliethomas, you are now member #1625 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome to you both. Please put your number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Lownotes, for questions and discussions specific to the bass modeling Rumbles, please use your Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread to help keep this main Club thread less complicated, OK? But your Stage will require the expertise of an Authorized Fender Service Center for that problem, or a warranty replacement. Fender doesn't make its parts available to anyone else, so contact Fender Customer Service via your local website, right away. If you bought it used, with no warranty, and the Authorized Center repair estimate is too high for you, there's always the your Rumble Club Wiki page for operating your Stage! AFAIK, The App can do anything the buttons can do.

charlie, that's a fine testimonial. Glad your Rumble has liberated you from the bedroom!

Say, Low and charlie, how about telling us a bit about yourselves, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journeys in particular? You'll fit right in here, since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Rumble On!

Hi G-Dog,
Thanks for the helpful reply and the number!
Good to know the app will do everything that the encoder will do. I also have the new Rumble 800c and a Black grille 210 extension cab for the Stage so I have my fair share of Rumble in the collection.

Cheers
Shane

No(short answer). I don't think I have a TRS cable in my 'arsenal', plus all I need(ed) is the volume function.

I ended up getting a Fender Rumble 115 cab as an extension to my Rumble 500. This is my riff mountain, ripper rig. It roars.

Yeah, that's a great combination for the R500c, Endy. I only wish there were a more heavy duty Rumble 115 that could handle the 400W from the Rumble Stage 800 and new Rumble 800 combos.

BTW, I can't help but notice that textiles sweatshop located outside your back window! Or is it reflected from inside, behind your camera? Can we get some Rumble Club discounts on some good, inexpensive sheets or towels?

Took my Rumble Studio 40 to church yesterday! First time in over 2-½ years! Ah! Food for the soul. :) The #9 Deep Rumble preset was juicy and rich! Then, on another hymn, the Acoustic Sim had a very thumpy upright sound!

I started jamming last summer, but didn't have to take my Studio. The Jam Hostess had bought a Rumble 40 for her occasional use with guitar and for bassists at her jams!

Can't wait for an opportunity to take out the Rumble 500 combo! Maybe for an outdoor July 4th jam? (Here's hoping.)

My RS40, or our hostess's R40 can usually handle the indoor-in-the-AC jams, which are certainly greatly preferred! But, I did do a very sweltering outdoor-with-not-enough-(air-moving)fans-July 4th Jam some years ago! IIRC, I used my then-new RS40 to get several different tones, with my R500c still in the well-ventilated car for backup. But the RS40 was plenty, since there were several acoustic instruments and a couple of PA systems. There were only two electric lead guitars, respectfully taking turns, and a very light-touch drummer. ;)
