My RS40, or our hostess's R40 can usually handle the indoor-in-the-AC jams, which are certainly greatly preferred! But, I did do a very sweltering outdoor-with-not-enough-(air-moving)fans-July 4th Jam some years ago! IIRC, I used my then-new RS40 to get several different tones, with my R500c still in the well-ventilated car for backup. But the RS40 was plenty, since there were several acoustic instruments and a couple of PA systems. There were only two electric lead guitars, respectfully taking turns, and a very light-touch drummer.

??? Huh, ... Oh! 
Yeah, ... no, ... it definitely happened, despite my otherworldly descriptions of the lead guitars & drummer. The music was very much like a nice dream, enjoyed by all. The weather was ... ... uh, ... well, ... tolerable, if you don't mind sweating .... a lot. Just hadda clean the instruments good once at home. Food was great! At least it didn't rain! Come to think of it, a little rain would have cooled things off nicely!! We could've covered the amps & instruments, would've totally been worth it.

The light-touch drummer is worth his/her weight in gold. Even more.
Indeed, he was! First one I'd ever encountered. A year, or so, later I got to play with him, or his clone, just once again! Indoors. With air conditioning!! Haven't seen him/them since. I've asked about them/him several times after that. Apparently he's in, or plays/fills in for/with, several regional bands with only very occasional downtimes when he may, or may not, be available for such jams. "Have drums, will travel!"

Well hopefully you'll encounter him again sometime down the road. I also remember the quiet drummers I've played with -- both of them.
I have a rumble 100 for home that I really like
I'm in, I just picked up a 40w Rumble combo for home use. I'm a diehard fan of the Fender tone stack (my Broughton SSDI is a never-ever-sell piece of gear) and the Rumble brings that meat-and-potatoes bass tone that I dig.

After 6 months the Rumble stack is still my favourite big rig. My Mesa Subway 212 and D800+ are a great combination, but I love the tone of the Rumble 800 and 210 so much, the Mesa stuff gets left at home.
Lately I’ve been running the Noble preamp into it also, and it sounds fantastic!
I wonder how close that sounded to when I run my 100 on top of my 200, daisy chained. I play outside on the 24th so that's how I'll be running it again. The 12 and 15 play well together.
The R200c with 112 cab puts up to 200W into the 15" & 12", evenly split. The R200c daisy chained with the R100 is very similar, with up to 140W into the 15" and up to 100W into the 12". Notwithstanding, that the 112 cab driver being higher power rated than the R100 driver, I would certainly expect the overall tones/dynamics to be as close as possible without using the exact same equipment. Good question. I didn't get the R100 until after I sold the R112. but I have run the R100>R200c here at the house-and once on a gig-and, IIRC, they were pretty similar.
Nice! I'm trying now to decide if I will pull the trigger on a R800, and sell my R100 to help offset the cost.
