I bought mine in March of 2015, and I kept it clean and looking new. After using it all these years I sold it for $65 less than I paid because the prices have gone up a lot like everything else. For the buyer, it was half the price of a new one today at $300. I also feel good about selling it because it was still a great, dependable amp.
Is this where post my amp photo, get a number and feel whole?

Ah! You beat me by(I'm too lazy to add it up)X months. November for me. It replaced a Kustom 150 that weighed ~85 pounds.
I paid $160 for my second 100 used locally which is a little less than half of new. It looks brand new.
According to Prof. Google, ~$255 to $270 +/-@GC and Reverb.

Just a quick note on my opinion of Reverb: great place to find used gear, but a lousy place to buy it. Helpfully, they list the actual seller. So...I track down the seller and buy direct. Example: my '21 EBMM Tim Commerford passive shorty Stingray. It was listed on Reverb for 4 250 € + 50 € shipping. I bought it directly from the store in Estonia for 3 799 € with free shipping. Saved me 500 €.
Yeah, I doubt I'll use Reverb again unless they list something I can't live without(unlikely). They've made a lotta changes to their policies.
EDIT: Sweetwater's "Gear Exchange" appears to be a better deal(N/A; haven't used)

I recently bought a Helix Stomp with a bonus I received from work. In short, it's incredible, I love it, gush, gush, etc.
My band mate has recommended to me using a Fender amp with the Helix since (in his words, paraphrased) "Fender amps don't tend to colour the sound too much and you'll get a good representation of what's coming out of the arse end of the Helix if you get one".
I did a quick search of this thread and the Helix doesn't get many mentions.
So - can anyone corroborate or refute my bandmate's assertion? Will a Rumble 100 be a good amp which lets the Helix do its work without interfering? Or will it alter the sound a lot? Under what conditions? (N.b. if I buy one, it will be used for bass and 6-string at home, and for bass under "small gig" conditions.)
Any shared experience will be gratefully received - thanks in advance!

My bad, I didn't mean to put the "D" on there. It is the discontinued R200H as in the head. I was just looking at report on the 800 HD.
Hello fellow Rumblers. I've been stalking this tread since I got my Rumble 100 a few days ago. I'm not a musician although I have some experience in electronic music production. I'm looking forward to learning to play the bass.
Welcome to TalkBass from sunny Northern California. I have had several different amps and combos and the Rumble 100 is a perfect starting point. Good luck on your journey!

Hello, neuty. Did you read those few links you found here? Specifically, my post at the top of your list thanking a member for his comparison of the Helix modeling to the Rumble modeling amps? That comparison is posted in the Rumble Club's Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread for bass modeling, where there are =1414841']several more Rumble/Helix links you may be interested in. In fact you might be interested in trying a Rumble Studio 40 or Stage 800 bass modeling amp to go with your Helix!
Other than that, yes, many of us think of our Rumbles as being fairly uncoloured, while many detractors say they are "muddy", or scooped, or something. Such is life. Your own ears, of course, are the best reference for finding your own preferences. Surely, your local music store will let you try a Rumble, or two? If so, be aware that setting the knobs to all vertical (12 o'clock) is not actually flat. Try this to set a Rumble to actual flat.
And, yes, of course, you can EQ a Rumble, or any other amp, to colour your Helix's sound, if you're not careful! Hopefully, you can just run your Stomp into the FX Return, or PowerAmp In, jack to bypass the pre-amp for the least coloured sounds. OR, you may want to run it into the Input to use the pre-amp to add a colour you desire, such as brightness, or whatever.
