I just received another Rumble component. The Rumble 115 cab to go with my Rumble 200 Head.
It didn't have the casters, so I ordered a set.
Sounds fantastic! It should be more than loud enough for my uses. I'm still GASsing for a 210or more likely another 115 to go with it.

That's the exact combination I'm using for a big holiday show in about a week (and at the three rehearsals). I also have a 500 v.3 head, but the 200 v.3 sounds better to me in a lot of situations-- less massive and woofy. And the 115 cabinet is all I need. Fantastic! Congratulations!
To clarify-a bit, I've had 'pegs(Blue Line SVT/810 rig, and a combo with 1x12"-at different times). I just couldn't get sounds I liked out of them. YMMV.
Interesting. The only amp I’ve ever played through is the puny rumble 15 that came with my first bass. I mostly play through a SGT-DI pedal into my computer, which is where I developed my fondness for the Ampeg house sound.
I revisited the Rumble Overdrive section yesterday and I was impressed. I never had a need for it and always had it turned off. I recently got a Tech 21 Fly Rig 2 and having been playing with the Drive on it. I now have a better understanding of how it works and how to use it and how it differs from Fuzz. After playing around with the Fly Rig, I started playing around with the OD on my Rumble 800 and it sounds just as good. I may be using it more.
Well, my first real bass amp was one-later 2-of these. The sound I try to emulate. My Rumbles come very close.

I guess I led a deprived childhood. Although my parents did accept my musical efforts, they didn't have money to spend on gear, nor did I. Most of the local bands, and there were many in the late '60s, had cool
And I had the Bassman 115 cab ready for my forthcoming Bassman 500 when the Rumble 500 combo appearred on the scene. The only reasonable decision was to keep both! Then, a few years later, the Rumble Studio 40 model bass combo was just too versatile to pass up!

The single '63 Bassman-and '66 Gibson EB-3, mudbucker only-served me well for ~3 years until I needed more 'oomph', thus the Kasino. I got the chance to pick up the second Bassman for a very reasonable price from a guy who was "getting rid of old [stuff]". In '73 I bought the '67 Gibson Thunderbird NR, which became my ichiban*. On a few gigs, I used one-or the other
-head with both cabs. Major sweetness.When I got outta the full-time music biz(1984), I(stupidly)sold the 2xBassmans for ~1/2 what one would bring these days.
ATM, the R200cV3 covers any gig where I 'need' more than the R100[we never have FOH].
The few times I've played through 2xR100s have come the closest to the tone I(vaguely)recall the '63 putting out.

The first amp I played bass(also a '66-ish EB-3)was a 7ender Super Reverb. Yeah, I know-guitar amp. I was playing in a piano, drums, bass trio doing background "cocktail music" at the USN Officer's Club. Not enuff volume to hurt the 4x10s in the(HEAVY)amp.
My folks supported me, but having grown up in the Great Depression (Mom on the wrong side of the tracks in Selma, AL), they tended to be fairly frugal. They did get me a trombone (rented at first, bought once they were sure I was serious). Mom bought a cheapo Silvertone Spanish guitar, but never did much with it. I pulled it out of the attic after a few years there and the neck was horribly warped (never loosened strings and no truss rod). I managed to get it reasonably straight, but only with nylon strings. I taped a small speaker to the front of it and played it through a Bogen tube PA amp into a 12" speaker from an old console TV. I borrowed a friend's Silvertone electric amp-in case for a couple of years. The guitar was stolen. The PA was donated to a church (long story). When I started playing again, I borrowed gear, then bought a beater Hagstrom which I experimented on a lot. A friend loaned me a Kalamazoo amp, which he eventually gave me. Everything else I bought or built (amps), typically used because we didn't have much money for years. I'm grateful to be at a place I can buy Thunderbirds, Rumbles, effects, etc. I've bought a few entry level basses and acoustic guitars for kids who wanted to play, too, whose parents couldn't or wouldn't buy them. Be the change you want to see.

I'm sure it made sense at the time, which means it wasn't stupid. I doubt any of us here foresaw today's prices on gear back then. If we had, we'd have bought more and hidden it in climate-controlled, secure storage.
After watching a video last night where Lemmy explained how he got his later sound, I decided to play around with my gear. I tried (separately) each Greco pickup wide open with tone alternately all the way up and all the way down straight into a pair of Rumble 100s with low mids maxed and other tones off, OD cranked, and I found mojo I thought I’d lost. I found mojo I didn’t know existed. I later added some bass and a bit of high mids back in, and … wow. I have GOT to find some jam buddies.

.My Rumble 500 combo at work on an outdoor stage this last Saturday. Such a beautifully temperate day to be out after such a blisteringly hot summer not that long ago. A very nice PA system took my XLR Out without a hitch and bathed the whole area in deep (low B), rich, punchy bass tones, so I kept the Rumble down a bit. Actually, my Rumble Studio 40 could have done the gig! But I didn't know that before I packed up the R500c to make sure I would be heard clearly. Sorry for the delay, but I was hoping someone had got a better shot but alas, they didn't.

Yes. Yes, you do, Miley! I highly recommend jamming with. ... whoever, ... playing whatever!!! I do miss my jam friends, with similar tastes and interests, from when I was working. Moving to this rural area for retirement lost that. But, dang if these country boys and girls can't really pick a mean country and/or western, bluegrass or folk song. It's fun!
Our jam group played the outdoor stage again yesterday, at the town Christmas Festival, by special request. I sang that beloved Christmas Classic, requested by the Mistress of Ceremonies, "Margaritaville"!?!
I regret that I let others talk me out of using my Rumble 500 combo and just going direct to the PA. This was a smaller PA, which sounded OK for my individual sound level check, but the mix was a mess. A couple of microphone pickups in the fiddles insisted on feeding back. And the bass was a nebulous mush coming from every monitor, instead of a focused punch from the R500c. My requests to the very young "soundmen" to turn down the bass EQ resulted in turning down the bass volume!
Never again. I shall, henceforth, be sure to ... ... ... Rumble On! .
