That's right, anyone can check the official Rumble Club Membership List at any time. Just use your browser's "Find on Page..." facility to search for your name. .​

I thought people with used Rumbles got used numbers!

... ..., ... what with our policy of "once a Rumbler, ... well, always, ... like ... a Rumbler", ya know, 'cuz well like, Rumblers sell 'em and then they try to turn in their number, ... but I'm, like, uh-uh, no take backs .. I dunno, maybe they think they're gonna get, like, sumpin' better, ya know, ... I dunno, ya know ... but everything else just costs more without soundin' better, so ... like, they end up just getting another Rumble, but, like ... lucky for them, they still got their same ol' number, ... ... ...

... ... ... After a host of Rumbles in the past, two Stage 800s and a Rumble 800, I've finally come back to the fold with this ivory 500. I've run the gamut of amps and cabs from high dollar boutique separates to high priced combos. They've all been great in their own right, but I have always had a soft spot for Rumbles. Light, functional, and the ability to dial in a great sound of you are familiar with the Fender tone stack. Glad to be back!

This little guy followed me home the other day.

After a host of Rumbles in the past, two Stage 800s and a Rumble 800, I've finally come back to the fold with this ivory 500. I've run the gamut of amps and cabs from high dollar boutique separates to high priced combos. They've all been great in their own right, but I have always had a soft spot for Rumbles. Just to clarify, for those who might be a newer generation, the traditional meaning of "Fender tone stack" was regarding a completely passive EQ circuit where the Bass, Midrange, & Treble controls were highly interactive and the closest to "flat" frequency response was 2 / 10 / 2 on the 1-10 numbered knobs.
Not sure which Fender amp originally used this circuit, but I know the Showman and Bassman's of the 1960's did.

I don’t think that directly applies to the Rumble. The Fender tone stack is completely subtractive, but the Rumble controls both lower and raise their respective frequencies.

Not sure if anything in all that mentioned it, but if you turn all of the three tone knobs fully counter-clockwise, you get no output (well, maybe a little noise).

Thanks for the introduction, don. Good sounding song demos! Yes, event gigs can be SO much more fun for the band than bar gigs. Doesn't your band name often get confused with the nickname of that other older band?

Used my R200 combo + cab at birthday gig yesterday. Setting was all noon and vintage pressed, no effects. Made my EMG Geezer equiped 1971 Greco P sound just perfect in this room.

I was at a parking lot concert in DFW in early September. Still around 100°F at 7pm. The band broke into Brown Eyed Girl and several hundred people started dancing — from toddlers to geezers, ballerinas to wheelchair-bound people. Someone’s dog, too. I’d always loved Van but that was when I understood the power of his music.

I have a song request - "Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison - when done right, it has the same effect as "Brown-Eyed Girl".
I consider it one of the best musical compositions of Rock / Pop / Americana of all ages.

Funny / interesting side note:
The LP version with the intended lyric: "come with me baby" was changed for the single to "come to me baby" as the former was considered too risque (Oh, how times have changed).
