Fender Rumble Club

Seems to me that everything has gone very quiet lately up there in Yankland. Maybe it's because they're finally learning that there is a whole nother world out there, & the rest of the world calls it Football.
Well, the rest of the world is just wrong. ;):angel::whistle:

I'll put this here since is plugs into my Rumble.
I have to admit to not picking up my bass in a few months. Today I decided to fix that. I unplugged my Line 6 Relay G10 transmitter from the base. Turned the amp and laptop on. And.......sound from the laptop and nothing from the G10. Unplugged the G10 and patched that cord to the bass. Now I have wired bass! Plugged the G10 back into the amp and wiggled G10 power input. It started working again. Good thing. I can't afford a new one.
You may already know this so if you do pardon me! The G10 Has a little plunger type switch next to the 1/4 plug that has to be engaged for it to transmit. I have found that some of my basses and guitars for that matter, the input jack seems just loose enough that the plunger is not engaged, they still work fine with chords or any other wireless bug but I have to make sure the G10 pushed in far enough and the spring is just strong enough to work itself out, especially if you move around a bunch! Needless to say, I bought a Shure rig and stopped using my line 6!

Rumble 800hd / 210 / 115
This is a VERY nice combination!
And the Line out is sounding good through the PA.

PRICE DROP

Both Sweetwater and Guitar Center have dropped the price on the Rumble 200 to $541.48. No reductions on any other Rumbles.

So far other online dealers posting at Reverb have not followed suit. Fender website still shows the 200 at $619.99.
Get thee behind me, price drops!

Used the Rumble 500 combo today for a rehearsal/jam.

Gain and volume around 9 o'clock each.

Used a SBMM Ray 34 with Ken Smith Slick rounds, treble off, mids almost all the way off, bass dialed beck a bit.

Amp tone controls 10, 2 , 2, 10. Bright switch pressed in. No Drive from the amp.

Sounded amazing and articulate and warm.

Messed around with contour and low mids and the onboard Ray34 EQ. I could cop a nice modern tone as well.

This amp might not be boutique, but it is pretty darn versatile, and it is loud enough, and one handed carry with a gig bag is hard to beat.

I even have a Fender branded embroidered cover for mine...

Planning to use it for a Jazz benefit gig next weekend. It's getting harder to justify having a bunch of other amps around...

GIG REPORT: Guest bassist/vocalist at my longtime friends' church yesterday while their pianist was absent. I played my Fender Starcaster short scale through my Rumble Studio 40 without PA support. My friends' guitar and keyboard go through the PA at a fairly low level. But at rehearsal I was able to turn up the Rumble to about 1 o'clock for plenty of volume. I think it was the former choir platform behind me and the hollow altar itself that provided enough amp coupling (without too much boom) to forego the PA.

We had "booked" this date a couple months ago before my hospitalization for a blood infection causing kidney failure! Fortunately, the right antibiotic was found to get me back home and regaining enough strength in time to keep the schedule. PTL

Hi all, I’ve recently taken possession of a rumble 800 combo for a good price, and I’ve been putting it through its paces. There is a chance it might become my do everything amp, maybe, but I’ve not quite settled yet. It has much more “together” sound with less midrange resonance than the R100 combo it will replace but the real surprise is I think I like it more than my genzler Magellan and ba2-112. It’s got a pleasant sound signature without sounding over the top, and “all in” with all three voicing circuits on and the overdrive on sounds really juicy in a very fun way (not ideal for every bass, but for the ones it works with, wow). It’s really got me wondering about that Genzler stack (for my uses, the genzler amp and cab do what they do superbly, I think I just want something a little gnarlier).

Has anyone paired this combo with any of the rumble cabs? It seems that none of them use the same Neo drivers so it isn’t likely to sound quite the same.
