Fender Rumble Club

I have a Rumble 500 combo with a 210 Ext. Cab, but wanted to pick up something for home practice and church gigs. My Rumble 40 just arrived. I ... don't need anything else after discovering the rumble line. :)

I have the same rig, minus the 210 extension cab which I will be getting sooner as opposed to later.
I love being able to throw (place gently, actually) the 40 in the back of my Subie for jams with friends. It's more than capable.

Scott, I picked up the 210 cab thinking I would be needing it for outside gigs, but haven't used it yet! :) The 500 combo by itself has always been plenty, unbelievable. And the 40 is something else, I had an old Fender Frontman 25 as a practice amp, no comparison at all. The 40 will easily do my quieter gigs.

I've been thinking of selling my TH500 head, and picking up a Rumble 500 head to possibly use with the 210 cab, in case the combo ever goes down. But I have a feeling I'm overthinking. :)

I have the 500 combo + 210 cab stack as well. I said it before I got the 210, I didn't "need it" I wanted it... It is massive overkill even for the outdoor stuff I have done, but then again, I am not playing huge arenas either...

I am really liking the Rumble 40 as a very portable option, but honestly, I just don't see what advantage to that is there over just turning the knobs on the 500 down...

What can I say. We want what we want. We have [will have, in my case] matched cabinets and there's something to be said for that.

I totally agree. And you answered your own question. And if the 500 craps out for any reason, you have the 40 you can connect to FOH in less time than it takes to replace a broken string.

I restrung my Jazz with GHS Pressurewounds yesterday. Today while my neighbors were at work I broke out my Rumble 350 head and twin 112 neos. I'm still smiling four hours later. :)
Is that your first time with the Pressurewounds? They are the ones I am considering. I had TI Flats on mine and it just didn't sound good. I like them on my Precision just fine. Anyway, I put the D'Addarios back on it be cause I was thinking about selling the bass, but I would keep the flats. The roundwound strings made me change my mind about my Jazz V. It sounds great now! So I am researching the Pressurewounds. Are they as good as people say on a Jazz?

I am going to live with them for a while, and then post a review. I will say that they are most definitely different. My initial response is very positive. Stay Tuned! ;)

I've got a Rumble v3 500 being shipped home to papa...thought I might as well join the club.

I'm in over my head, but it's gonna be fun. I've got a Fishman Platinum Pro Eq on the way also that I'll use with my (free and old) Fishman BP 100 pickup. This v3 500 will be more than enough for the small venues I play. Feel free to tell me how stupid this is or if I'm a genius. I play in 5 piece (includes a god dang banjo) string band that uses Mackie Pro FX 22 board and a couple Mackie 450s.

Up until now, I've used a mic in various ridiculous forms for live sound. I'm playing a CCB, but I got a solid Englehardt the guy is gonna sell me in November.

I went through that as well. Flats just don't work on a J. I like J with rounds, P with flats. Haven't tried the pressurewounds yet. I make give them a try next time.

Big Hoss, I totally agree with you, having both may be overkill. I use the 40 as my in-home "practice" amp, the 500 sits with my band equipment....

Interesting, I use the 500 as my in home practice amp. Obviously at VERY low volumes. It is very hard to control the fine line between being able to hear your speakers over the sound of the strings, and chunks of plaster are falling off the ceiling, and every piece of metal trim like door knob, and ceiling fan trim is buzzing like a meth head.

I get the buzzing from all the loose stuff in the bedroom lol. I have to dial it down a bit as well with my 500
