Fender Rumble Club

Hey all, I've just bought my first Fender Rumble amp (Fender Rumble 100 v3) and wondered if I could join the club?

Never joined a club on here before so not sure what the requirements are haha!

Wondering if anybody has got any advice on nice tones to dial up on this beaut? I've only had it a week and due to work not had much time to play on it. I'm playing a Squire VM Jazz Bass through it currently if that helps :)

Sure thing @RichyB! :woot: Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, you are member #524 :hyper: Read back a few pages and you'll find links to the Fender Rumble Club Tone Pool, and also a series of 'Rumble Talks' that contain a wealth of inside information.
 Rumbles Rock! :smug:

Hello all,
feels good to be part of a club! I got my Rumble 500combo today and absolutely love it!
One thing I noticed - and apologies if this is super obvious but I am 100% stupid on tech details - when I go straight into the effect return with my pedalboard, I can't adjust the volume at all? There is still sound coming out of the speaker, but is only driven by the pedals.
All works fine if I use the complete loop though.
I ask as I use the EBS valve drive pre-amp and wanted to try this instead of the internal preamp.
Any ideas if this is normal or if something is not right with my one?
Cheers!

This is 100% normal.
Effects Loop is post all amplifier knobs, including the Master.

Frankly, all the goodness of the Rumble series comes from the pre-amp section (and decent speakers.)
The power amp (Bang and Olufsen ICEpower) is so clean and flat that it can be said to be transparent -- for all practical purposes -- adding zero tonal characteristics to the signal.

If you want to use the EBS into the Effects Return, you have to use the knobs on the EBS to control the master volume.

The AUX In works the same way.

NAD! I am the proud owner of a Rumble 100. I love this thing. Still can't believe how loud it can get. It's been a long time since I have had a NAD. I hope I can control myself. Obligatory "pics or it didn't happen" below: _DSC6374.JPG

Thanks for that, now I am feeling better :) I used to have a MarkBass combo that behaved differently, guess that confused me!

Five Year Praise Report

Roughly five years ago (sometime in early 2010) I ordered a Fender Rumble 75 1x12 combo. I'd never seen much less played through a Fender Rumble. My very expensive ($400) Tech21 Landmark 60 took an unexpected dump at a little less than two years of age. Expense to repair was unacceptable, and I gave it away. I could buy a brand new Fender Rumble 75 for less, so I did.

Five years latter my Fender Rumble 75 is still going strong. I play through it everyday. I've pushed it hard a number of times asking it to do far more than it was truly capable. For the total cost of $1 a week (One Dollar!), or 14 cents a day. It sounds far better than the highly overpriced Tech21 ever did.

:D Rumbles Rule! :D Sure there are better bass amps than Fender Rumbles. They're called Fender Bassman! :roflmao:

Tonight I am going to a jam in a garage. I have the 200 available, but I will take my 100 because it is more than enough. Glad you are enjoying your new Rumble!
