Fender Rumble Club

Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, korakios! You are member #151 :hyper: The power cord socket should not be loose at all, so that needs to be tightened up. You should not be getting any noise from any of your controls so that is an issue you'll have to take up with your authorized Fender dealer. Hopefully these are all minor problems that can be easily and quickly resolved.
:bassist: Rumble On! :bassist:

ThankS Linnin!I have a 3 year warranty plus 30day money back at thomann.de but the problem is they are out of stock for fast replacing. Maybe I'll keep the rumble for some months...
The power chord seems easy fix but I need to open the amp which I won't because I'll void the warranty.
The noise coming from the master is noticeable when I play notes and tweaking the volume. As soon I set the volume no noise...so until replacement..
..I'll Rumble On!

Question for my fellow v3 Rumblers - am I the only one that thinks a pair of Fender tilt back legs on these would be the greatest thing since sliced bread? Since most of my work is musical theatre, I generally sit to play, but once in awhile I get a standing gig. I played standing for awhile last night, and the sound (although still good) was totally different than it was when I was down closer to it. I ended up leaning it back against a wall, and the awesomeness returned! So what say you, Rumblers - legs or something a little less attractive such as a 2 X 4 wedged under the front, or learn to live with it? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Almost forgot - here's a crappy cellphone pic of my main player with the new Rumble. It's hard to tell what it is, but it's a short scale SX P in Lake Placid Blue with GHS Precision Flats on it. The bass, the strings and the amp make an awesome combination.

The Fender tiltback legs would most certainly work, and would match the classic Fender style. I'd pop a couple of these underneath, for several reasons. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MoPADXL

OK, so I logged substantial practice time today with the 100. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but I can't find anything about this amp that I don't like! Well, OK, maybe the tolex looks a little cheap, but at this price point there are sacrifices to be made. I can't really get into the overdrive, but perhaps at gig volumes it will be a different story. I still like the J with no effects, and I went back and forth with the P between 'contour' and 'vintage'. I don't know which one I like better, although I didn't think they sounded particularly good together. I emailed off to my cover manufacturer (amplifiercovers.com) and have already been quoted a price for a cover for it. I'll be pulling the trigger on that in the next day or two, so I can keep it looking good when leaving the house. All things considered, I'm glad I made the change. I've always been kind of ambivalent about Fender amps since the Bassman 135 I bought new back in the early '80s. I could never find a sound I liked from it, and sold it after just a few months. This one, however, is a completely different story. Looking forward to logging many playing hours on it!!!

So we played our little outdoor Benefit show. Nothing special, just 2 mains with no monitors on stage. Full acoustic drums with only the kick mic'd. Gtr 1 is acoustic to the board. Gtr 2 was ran through a tweed 2x10 fender and mic'd. Gtr 3 was ran through a Marshall 1x12 and mic'd. And I ran to my Boss GT 10B and ran that XLR to the board with my SVT and SWR settings. Then I sent the GT 10B line out to the v3 100. It works amazing as a stage monitor with the fold back bass from the mains. Had to turn it up pretty loud, but that little amp is a champ and can handle it. None of the buttons pushed in and just a little bit of high mid. Pics with the settings below. Love this amp!

How much for the cover? I need one too

$49. No affiliation with these folks, but I've bought every cover I've ever owned there. Well made, quick turnaround, and I've had some strange shaped amps that they've been able to fit like a glove. Invalid Link Removed will get you to the page that has it, scroll down until you find the Rumble 100 v3 and you're there.

Picked up a V3 100/12 a couple of weeks ago. Have used it at rehearsals twice, with another rehearsal planned for later today. Have a gig on Saturday at a small venue where I plan to use it.

So far really liking this little guy. Sounds great with my 60th anniversary P with D'Addario half rounds, ME-50B.pedal. Can't beat the weight! I can lift it with one pinky finger! Nice to be able to carry it, a bass and pedal board bag all at the same time without killing myself!

I'll report on the performance after the gig on Saturday.

So I used my Rumble 350 head along with the 2X8 and 1X12 cabs for last evening's gig. All I can say is, it performed flawlessly. Nice tight punchy tone and plenty of pop! It handles the B on my 55-94 without a hitch. The Rumble filled the room with all the pleasing bass tones we know and love! Although, I only use this stuff for smaller shows, it has continually proved to be money well spent. :D I sometimes long for the newly released Rumble stuff, just because newer is better, right? But now that I'm acting more like a grown up, I realize, I don't think I can do any better! YMMV

Great to see you back again, Gougedeye! {member #12!} It was largely because of your first hand working bass player's testimony that I went with a Rumble 350 & a pair of Rumble 112 Neo cabs. For those of you that don't know, Gougedeye also rocks a 300 watt all tube Fender Super Bassman with matching 610 Neo cab. So when he tells you Fender Rumbles are quality pro gear with great tone, you can believe it.

I am a about to swap my Ampeg SVT 3 Pro for the V3 combo. I am using the Ampeg through an Avatar 4ohm 410 but I just do not really dig the sound I am getting from it. I am torn between getting the V3 500 head to use with the Avatar cab or getting the 500 combo and using it with an 8ohm 115. Decisions, decisions.

I am not a fan of Avatar, so I'd dump it along with your Ampeg. I wouldn't hesitate to pop a Rumble 500 combo on top of a Rumble 115 cab. I hope we can welcome you to the Fender Rumble Club soon ;)

I don't see any reason to dump the Ampeg. I don't like conventional 410's either. It sounds like you may be ready to go with 15's!:bassist:

I am actually running a Genz Benz Contour 500 115 with a Focus 115 ext cab. I love it. Love the sound of the 15's. The only reason I want to keep the Avatar 410 is because I also have a Fender Bassman 300 Pro and Neo 810. It is nice to use that head with the 410 sometimes instead of hauling the 810. I am thinking the V3 500 paired with my Genz 115 would be another option. Either way the Ampeg is going. I just don't like the sound for some reason and I am jonesing for a Rumble something fierce :)
