Fender Rumble Club

Here it is! Here it is!
I just unpacked it, didn't even try it yet.

I'm really lovin' the look and sound (in demo vids) of the new Fender Rumble series. Wanted to check 'em out in GC over the weekend but they were sold out. Probably for the best.

It'd be nice if the 1x15 cab was the same dimensions as the 500w 1x15 combo for a better fit if someone wanted to stack 'em. That'd be an awesome, versatile setup.

I got my Rumble 150 today, but it didn't come with a foot switch. Also, the guy's at the store think that this series sounds better than the new ones!

Hi George, are you referring to a V2 150. Thats what I have been using. Since I always have PA support, it is difficult to upgrade to a V3.

I will still wait a 6-12 months to learn more and demo.

I just finished stuffing polyfill in the cabinet of my V3 Rumble 100 just to see what happened (SOP for me) and tried my Hofner Ignition Club Bass strung with Labella nylon tapes through it...a few knob tweaks later...absolute magic. I'm really starting to like this little amp.

George, I'm assuming you're talking about the "older" model Rumble 150. I got one of these myself last week at GC's Memorial Day clearance sale on these amps (due to the new ones coming out, I'm sure), but I don't believe they come stock with a footswitch. However, I just use my Fender Mustang's footswitch (see pics) and it works perfectly. You probably should be able to use any generic one-button footswitch with this amp, I'm guessing.

(As you probably know, the footswitch activates the overdrive on/off on these amps.)

And yes - I agree that these older model Rumble 150's sound awesome..

There is some history to me getting this combo. I originally bought TC Electronic BG250 208. That was quite disappointing. The sound was muffled and no EQ could make it the way I wanted. It was also not loud enough, IMO of course. I could put everything all the way up, and it would still not be loud enough. So, at the end I just returned it and got Rumble instead.
Back to the topic, I managed to spent some quality time with my 500. Simply put, it is exceeding all of my expectations.
The sound is beautiful, punchy and clear (I have Hi Beams on my Lakland, and they sing). I played a bit with EQ and at the moment this is my favourite setting. Horn, bright and vintage are off and contour and overdrive on.

I'm really interested in the 500 watt 210 combo, or maybe even the 200 watt 115. I've only seen pictures of the front and top of these, can someone post a pic of the back?....also, are the combo amps and the available extension cabs sealed or ported? Thanks.

Wow - we took almost identical routes. I, too, purchased the BG 250 208 and also found it...lacking. It seemed really deep, muffled and empty...like there was an entire swath of frequencies missing that I couldn't dial in. The other thing on mine which wasn't that apparent in the noisy gc where I tested/bought it was that the fan on the amp just ran full blast no matter what. I really had wanted the BG 250 to work out - it was light and loud enough for me, and I enjoyed the toneprint versatility, but this thing was a clunker. I returned it and used the credit to order my rumble 500 head.
