Fender Rumble Club

I "cleaned up" the tone of my Rumble 100 last night at my gig. I cut the bass to about 11am, high mids at 1am, the rest at noon. Turned off the vintage setting (all buttons off). Still fat, but more definition. Plenty loud for stage volume (DI's into FOH). Keeps up with regular drums no problem....sounds great...weighs less than some of my 70's Fenders (kidding but pretty close ha ha).

The other day I swapped out the 100, for a 200. The 100 at my settings, was sounding to close to the TC Electronic RH450/BC410 half stack.
Are these Rumble V3 Combos? I really think the 200 combo will cover 90% of where I live and play. I just like the 500 head with the 115 combo...no rational reason, just gut. After using the 200 over your 100, what are your thoughts on it?

I'm adding a Markbass NY121 cab to it on occasion to bring it up to the 4 ohms 200 watts. By itself @ 8 ohms 140 watts, it sounds really good. The 200 by itself is the way I'll be using it any way. Even a t low volumes, the sound is very clear, with out a mud sound. I just raised the Gain up a bit, with high Bass settings, and lower Mid Low, Mid High, and Treble. There's nothing wrong with the 100, I just liked the 200's 15".

I was thinking about doing a head for the Markbass NY121 cab. Just as an extra go to combination. The Rumble 500 head is at the top of the list. From what I've seen with the internal heads in the combos, the Heads are very impressive. The NY121 cab is an 8 ohm, 400 watts cab. The 500 Head, is 350 watts @ 8 ohms. A good fit. It does make a lot of sense.

#131 Checking in here. This morning I ordered a Rumble 500 head, to go with the Markbass NY121 cab. It should be delivered Tuesday, or Wednesday of this week. I thought of the options I had for a head, and like I mentioned before, The Rumble 500 head made the most sense.

I just had an audition with my setup, (500 head/greenboy bassic 15). I was competing with a loud drummer and a wank guitarist with his Marshall half stack. With my passive jazz, I had the gain at 2, bass/low mid noon, high mid/treble at 10 and the master at noon. I was fine. It was loud with no audible strain or grunting. I hope you like yours as much as I do!

I'm looking forward to running the Markbass B&C 12"Neo through the 500 head. Wed. is looking like magic day for delivery for the 500, Film at 11:00.
