Fender Rumble Club

True! I love the broad smooth dispersion of the entire midrange with a good 15" woofer. They really are unbeatable for that important aspect of live bass.

Maybe you should pick up a Rumble 200 1x15 combo for your 'in between' gigs where you need more than your 40 but the 500 is shear over-kill.

You're right and I almost did but my local dealer didn't have one in stock. Didn't want to buy R100 as I'm not a fan of the sound of 12" speaker. I have 14 days to return the cab and replace it with R200. On the other hand, it's nice to have 500H and 2x15 for those (rare to me) cases when I need the extra push.

Yes, I remember you returning the R100 in favor of the R40.
I'd keep the R115, as a pair with the 500h make for a killer gig-rig.

Here's one for you Rumblers.

So I bought this Rumble 40 mostly for silent practice (i.e. Aux in and headphones). For those that do the same, what headphones do you prefer?

Been using Bose AE2w (with the cable, not wirelessly) and while they are light and comfortable they seem a little harsh when thumping the bass. Hard to explain, but I am beginning to not like the sound. I'd like something that more accurately reproduces the sound of the amp when I'm not using the headphones.

What are the best headphones for metal....er...I mean for the Fender Rumble(s)?

Thanks!

This. Room for a snack, too. Ima get me one, methinks.

Nice pic!

Now, what's it called so I can order one?

I got some Audio-Techinca ATH-M50S about 18 months ago. I plug them into my R40 and I like them.
But you're going to have to try yourself, right? I mean, it's all so subjective...

Yeah, and it could just be ME. When you have a PC pumping music into the amp and headphones out, swapping basses around and then changing strings, etc., it's hard to know sometimes.......

I'll see if I can check some Audio-Technica's out.

Thanks!

LOL....so I just checked the local store online. All of the Audio-Technica headsets appeared to have "Call for Pricing"......are they made by Rickenbacker or something? :roflmao:

Aha! It's just that series (Audio-Technica ATH-Mx0x).....

That just goes to show you how popular Fender Rumbles have become. It gives F.M.I.C. pricing power. First the Rumble 500 combo up by $50 and now the Rumble 200 combo.

Just checked Fender.com and they have raised the price of the Rumble 500 combo another $50 to $600. Pricing of the Rumble 500 & 200 heads remain the same at $400 & $300 respectively. Speaker cabinet pricing also remains unchanged.

Wow! I was not aware of this. How fortunate for me that I got the 500 combo for just under $500 and the 210 ext. cab for just under $300:hyper::bassist::thumbsup::smug:

Wait a minute; is there a link or website I can go to for all these gadgets and devices I see people be knowing about? Most of the items I see I think I have a use for.I don't think I'm alone here. But then again trying to round up all the items, advertisement rights, time, maintaining, legal issues etc.Oh well it was just a thought.

Took my Rumble 100 to a jam tonight. Complete with plugged ports. I unplugged the ports about halfway through the night and it sounded way better live in a club.

On another note, I might trade my 100 in on a second 200. I just like it so much better. Not putting the 100 down at all; it is a great amp. I just really like the 200. Most everything I own, I have in pairs. Rumble Rumble.
